so, on Wednesday, Meilin and I met up with Ben, Kelly and Bryan to go to that pier place next to Parnell Baths (its called judges bay i think). Before that though, me and meilin bussed to parnell cathedral where we were supposed to meet Ben. Buuuut he wasnt there, so he texted us saying to make our way over to the pier and he'd meet us along the way.

that would've been fine if Meilin actually had any sense of direction.

So, we went a completely different direction and walked for about 10 minutes before we found out and then we had to walk all the way back (Tbh it wasnt actually that far but it was REALLY SUNNY and hot at the time so i was bitching the whole way).

actually tbh i cbf explaining this day to whole detail so i'll bullet point it

• went to bens house  front door on the way to destination
• his dog is a HUGE ball of fluffiness and is fucking adorable. like HUGE.
• i'm semi allergic to fur tho so i was like errrrrrkkk. also, the dog was big and i am a pussy
• but it was really cute
• walked to judges bay, decided to go to parnell baths instead cuz the water looked rank
• stayed at parnell baths for like, 20 minutes. bought food. 
• that day i had my hair like:

• and i used a hairtie to tie it at the back but when i pulled out the hairtie to go swimming, it was completely knotted up and WOULD NOT LET GO OF MY HAIR. srsly. bryan and kelly both took turns on untangling it. i spent a full 10 minutes trying to get it out. FUCKING RIDICULOUS
• when i finally got it out (ugh so embarrassing) there was just this strange knot of hair dangling hahaa
• btw later when i got home and finally brushed it out that whole bunch of hair just got ripped out by my brush
• ugh usually my hair behaves so well ffffff
• why am i posting so many bulletpoints about hair
• okay anyway
• ben and meilin went to make out somewhere and kelly and bryan swam away somewhere so i was just all by my lonesome for a while
• and then i was like where da fuq is everyone
• so i went back to the lockers and everyone was there and i was like -__- WTF SRSLY
• then we decided to go to judges bay

• and since i was the fifth wheel that day, as i was painfully drowning away in enterococci (i didnt know about the health risk shit until today btw) no one came to my aid cuz the two couples were too busy being all coupley and shit
• ben and meilin were laughing at me though

• srsly u dont know how freaky it was for me though. i nearly had a panic attack when i was smack bang between the land and the platform because i had to keep swimming since there was nowhere to go and was just surrounded by water and i felt so helpless and weak and ugh 
• and my favourite pair of sunglasses broke on the way cuz i forgot to take them off :(
• got to the platform eventually
• both couples started making out
• i felt very single
• sat in my sad little single corner
• everyone else ended up leaving the platform so we had it to ourselves and whenever someone would try to come on, meilin would stand in front of the ladder bit hahahahaha and if they kept trying to get on she was like 'oh sorry' and moved. 
• and whenever someone looked like they were heading our way it was like GO PDA GO GO GOOOO
• we eventually swam back to shore (UGH AGAIN) and btw i swallowed the water and now i feel like there is poison and disease coursing my bloodstream ewwwwww
• got changed
• took the bus to city
• went to this korean restaurant
• my first proper time eating korean food excluding dinners at joannas house
• i got a bibimbap (only cuz it was one of the few non-spicy things on the menu) and couldnt pronounce it and ben gave me shit about it
• decided i dont really like korean food (probably because i cant handle any spicyness at all, and without spicyness then whats the point of korean food?)
• kellys mum came into the restaurant out of nowhere
• we were all like holy shit what the actual fuck HOW DID SHE KNOW WE WERE HERE
• finished food
• said bye and i bussed home

omg im sorry i don't know how to accurately use bulletpoints haha. i just like it cuz it means i can write short sentences.

despite the complaining ^, it was a pretty alright day. although next time if i'm invite to that sorta shindig where i'm the fifth wheel i dont think i'd go.......

&& on tuesday (i think it was tuesday) my brother took me out driving YAY!

according to my brother if i took my restricted test right now i'd probably fail lmao i'm not surprised. it's just because i'm not confident enough behind the wheel and IF I HAD MORE PRACTICE THAT WOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE NOW WOULD IT ???

he taught me how to properly reverse into shit like driveways, three point turn and attempted to teach me how to parallel park.

i thought i was pretty shit at reversing but he said i was good so i just left it at that. three point turn was a piece of cake. parallel parking was a BITCH.

seriously all the wheel spinning and the neck craning and the angles..... -______-

i bumped onto the kerb about 8 times.

didnt crash into the cars though (Y) but i hope the owners of the cars didnt see me trying to parallel park between their cars because I'd probably give them an anxiety attack....

drove all the way to mt wellington to pick up Amy from her work and my brother told me to drive back as well but i wasn't keen on the chance of being caught and getting demerit points and a fine  so i didnt :/

that was the first european restaurant i had been to. excluding La porchetta, archies and the italian restaurant i went to in shanghai (doesnt count.... idt)

We got an antipasto (rofl my mum was like WHY ARE WE PAYING SO MUCH FOR A PLATE OF FOOD THAT IS JUST RANDOMLY THROWN TOGETHER) and for main I got a fucking nice steak with potato gratin, zuchinni, portebello mushrooms and caramelized onions. OHMYLORD IT WAS SO GOODDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!

hahaha previously when the waiter came to us with our drinks she was like "apple cider?" and i raised my hand thinking she meant apple juice but she and both Amy and my bro gave me this weird look and I was like OH WAIT LOLZ ITS ALCOHOL AND FOR MY BROTHER.

aaaaaaaaaand on thursday i went to go watch sherlock holmes 2 in town with Marcia.

ohmygod the movie ending is so good!!! i was sitting there like :O "I CANT BELIEVE THAT JUST HAPPENED".

then we went around window shopping and she was my bumgirl most of the time waiting outside my changing room hanging my clothes back on the hangers hahahahaha. I SAW THIS REALLY CUTE DRESS IN VALLEYGIRL THAT I REALLY REALLY WANTED AND WAS GOING TO BUY but then i decided not to and with the little amount of self-control i had, walked out the store.

.... only to check my eftpos balance at an atm and realise i didnt have enough money for the dress anyway.

i wont tell you how much money i have in my account right now but let me tell you.

i really really didnt expect it to be that low since I only actually started using the card again in November to get birthday/xmas gifts but DAMN IT IS BAD. a whole year and a half of savings used up in 2 months. dammmmn..........

did anyone make a bet on how long i could last on the road without hitting anyone with a car?
cuz whoever got a month and a bit won.

while i was driving.

they're alright though! they went to the hospital, had a couple broken bones and a concussion. and a little internal bleeding. it's alright. didn't dent the car or break the windscreen or anything.


... im joking btw.

but yeah, i did hit someone. not too bad though. only in the arm with my sideview mirror. and i was going at like, 10kph so it wasnt too hard.

basically what happened yesterday was that I was driving through that road between our school and the asb showgrounds near one tree hill, and there were cars parked on both sides of the road, completely filling each side up, so when i was driving through there, it was really cramped. this dumb bitch was walking like:

and my brother was like SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN when he saw her and i did and i was at 10kph so i thought it was slow but he was still like SLOW DOWN UR GONNA HIT HER and i was like NO IM NOT GONNA HIT HER

.... and then i hit her.

i started to just drive off cuz it was really embarrassing and i didnt know what to do but my brother was like HOLY SHIT VICKY YOU HIT HER! and i was like UHHHHH!!! and he was like STOP THE CAR AND GO OUTSIDE AND APOLOGIZE and i was like OKAYOKAYOKAOKAY and i had to stop the car and stop all the traffic and go outside and i was just like I'M SORRY IM SO SO SORRY ARE YOU ALRIGHT? IM LEARNING TO DRIVE IM SORRY and the dumb bitch was just like OH ITS ALRIGHT, DONT WORRY and i decided even though she was dumb, she was a nice dumb bitch cuz she could've sued me or something but she didnt so she was pretty cool BUT SHE SHOULD STICK TO THE FOOTPATHS NEXT TIME.

anyway, i went from burger king to the warehouse by dominion rd, and parked in the warehouse (i didnt crash! :D) and then i went along dominion rd again and back into thewarehouses road, and somehow ended up in parau street. then i went to school by my usual route, and went through the road where i hit the girl. went along greenlane and got to great south road where my restaurant is, and then drove towards home but didnt go home. went past mt roskill grammar and went to bunnings warehouse and finally drove back home!

A week's recap

So, this week was pretty stressful. Monday and Tuesday were my maths statistics internals, and I lost my internal-ginity (that sounds extremely wrong). Finished just in time though. Seriously, I wrote the last word, full stopped it and it was exactly time up. I thnk I did alright, as long as I was right about not making the call.

Then yesterday, Joanna was suddenly emailed about a reaudition, which is ridiculous cuz we didnt even know that we were going to be called back to reauditions, and the reaudition was that day at lunchtime, so we didn't have any time to practice more! stupid organization from the committee, fuck. anyway, i forgot my words in a line of a verse, but i dont think it was too major. in the end, we didn't get in, which didn't come as much of a shock because I had heard some other people's pieces and they were so much better. I'm not too gutted. There's always next year!

I also did my speech yesterday. It was about vampire obsessions. I got excellence, and when we voted for people to go to the finals, it came down to me, Lizzi, and Hayon, and with a revote, Hayon got into the finals. Algoods though, I wasn't really keen on the pressure of going to finals, even though it would've been a good thing for my ego haha. The fact that people liked my speech enough to even consider me to go to the finals was already a huge compliment!

Today was the most stressful of all. Or rather, last night was, cuz of the studying. Today I had my French end of unit test in period 1, and science end of topic test in period 2. Yeah, thanks teachers for cramming two hard-to-study-for tests in a time frame of 2 hours. We had time after the french test, so we marked the first page and I got quite a bit wrong, so I'm not really looking forward to getting my full mark back. Science test consisted of a lot of writing and quite a bit of bullshitting and hoping that the stuff you wrote down had relevance to the question. I finished just in time (or slightly overtime....) and my hand was cramping like a bitch throughout the test.

Went to speech finals in p4. Same couple of people got into speech finals this year again. Hannah R won it, obviously, because her speech was fucking hilarious. It was like a comedy routine, I was pissing myself omg. She did her topic on how to find the perfect guy!!! HOW DID SHE COME UP WITH THAT SHIT? It was actually a good thing lizzi didn't get into the finals (or so she says) because Mia was in the finals and she did the same topic as lizzi (honesty).

Ooh, also, yesterday, I drove quite a bit. My mum picked me up from school and on landscape road (not the side with the huge hill) I got to start driving and drove basically around my normal practice area around those backstreets, and then onto dominion road, and towards mount roskill grammar and past it, and drove all the way to bunnings warehouse! YESS VICKY IS ON THE MAIN ROADS BITCHES! Everytime my mum picks me up from school, I convince her to let me drive haha. WOOP WOOP!

Had singing lesson today. Cathee decided to ditch me for next weeks singers recital. I don't think I'm gonna go cuz I sound really shit in the song (which is hallelujah). I recorded myself - it was bad. I'm feeling really shitty about my voice thesedays. Trying out for stage band/b band. ugh, the songs that I have to sing are really not suited for me. Whatevs, can't hurt to try out. Except for my ego.

All this stress has caused me to breakout on my nose. and i have a pimple in my nose, as well as a cold, so I have to blow my nose and that means that the pimple just gets irritated. UGH.

Tomorrows house performances. Our house are doing the ugly duckling. I'm a pig. How accurate. I bought sweatpants for the occasion. I needed sweatpants anyway, so good excuse to buy em.


Gonna chill this weekend, then it's back to studying for my algebra exam. :(

there was this couple in a car in the parking lot, and i was just driving circuits scarily near their car, and they just stayed in their car probably lol'ing at my mad lack of skillz and also praying that i wouldnt crash into their car, haha.

but anyway, i can totally turn, and drive in straight lines now! YEAAAAAAH.

mainly because... I GOT MY LEARNERS LICENSE YEAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

basically, i woke up (at 2pm, cough) and i check my phone and i see i have two texts: one about having a voicemail, and one text message from an unknown number that started off with 'hi your new...'. and i was like OMG THIS IS THE TEXT ABOUT THE GLASSES OMGOMGOMG. so i opened the text message but my phone completely froze because its shit as, so i took out the battery, put it back in and restarted it. and it froze again when i tried to open the message and i had to take out the battery and restart it LITERALLY 4 times, but i tried to be patient about it because i had a feeling that it was about me getting my glasses, so i was in a good mood. ANYWAY, i finally open the meessage, and sure enough, it was about my glasses being ready and i seriously freaked and was like

and ran out of my room yelling out to my mum that my glasses were done. she thought i said 'my eyes are healed' because in chinese, glasses and eyes are the same word, and done and healed are the same word, so she was like WTF?! and im like, no no i mean, the glasses glasses. but she wasnt as excited as me....

ANYWAY, this meant that once i got my glasses, i could immediately go get my learners license. my glasses only took 2 working days to make and send here all the way from sydney!!! AHHHH BLESS THAT RECEPTIONIST. SHE IS SERIOUSLY THE SWEETEST 'STRANGER' I HAVE EVER MET. she marked it as 'urgent' which is why i got it so early. srsly. just ...

 she asked me to go back and show her my license after i got it, but when i got it, their store was closed already :( 

so, i bought my L's from a $2 shop and i pleaded with my mum to let my drive since i had waited so long and didnt want to wait any longer, so we went to this carpark area that was beside a park near my old house for my first time at the wheel ever!! i remembered that place cuz when i was really little and my brother would babysit me, he would take mums car down there and drive recklessly around the carpark with no hands and dragging and shit. hahaha.

so, i start the engine and im just like, so fucking happy that i'm gonna drive (no one ever told me that tonnes of people learn how to drive before they get their licenses!! WTF GUYS!!!) and my mum tells me to put my foot on the brake while i change the PRNDL and im like, k whattevs, and after i do it, i let go of the brake AND THE CAR STARTS MOTHERFUCKING MOVING AND IM JUST FREAKING OUT CUZ I WASNT EVEN PRESSING THE GAS OR WHATEVER and i slammed the brakes really hard and my mum like, lurched right into the dashboard ahahahhaha. 

i kept trying out the brake but everytime i did it, no matter how softly it was done, we'd still lurch a little in our seats and i was like OMGGGGGGG I SUCK AT DRIVING I CANT EVEN BRAAAKEE, but at the same time i was laughing my fucking ass off. seriously, it was the funniest experience ever. especially cuz i wasnt even pressing the gas pedal, i was just doing circuits around the carpark and like, turning the steering wheel right to the end and my mum was doing a mixture of freaking the fuck out and laughing at me cuz i was turning so hard that my arms were crossing over and she was like WTF ARE U DOING VICKY, and i'm like MA I'M DRIVING LOOK IM DRIVING!!! and there were like, 2 cars in the carpark and i was so worried about crashing into them. AND FUCK YOU JADE i soooo could drive in a straight line!!! 

i dont think i went over 5km/h cuz everytime i wud use the gas pedal i wud freak out from how fast i was going hahahahaha.

oh yeah and my glasses make me look extremely nerdy haha. not even chic-geek, just geek, haha, nor is it like 'sexy librarian', it's more like, plain old librarian sans the sexy. i would take a photo but im using my computer in the dark right now cuz im sposed to be asleep and the webcam doesnt pick up ANYTHING. might post a pic another day though.

another reason today was the best day ever was cuz of the release of the BREAKING DAWN HONEYMOON CLIP THAT WAS AT COMIC CON OMG GUYS.

okay, if you've ever been a crazy fangirl like me, you'd understand this, even if you're fandom is harry potter or whatever. so, the days after the breaking dawn panel at comic con, other (more obsessed) fans like me were hunting down the honeymoon clip that they showed, but NO ONE COULD FIND THE BLOODY THING because NO ONE UPLOADED IT! there was only a stupid audio recording of it which was even more torturous cuz u cud hear music and stuff but u had no idea why the audience was screaming/wolf whistling/awwing. anyway, meilin tells me to go check out her link on facebook, and i put it off cuz im on the phone with sueyeon and meilin doesnt do a very good job on convincing me to see her link, but eventually i go onto her profile,click on the link AND REALISE ITS THE CLIP!!! 

and i freak. the fuck. out. 

....and sueyeons still on the phone wondering why i'm screaming and freaking out. and this continued for like, a minute, until i calmed down to explain that its the breaking dawn clip and yada yada and shes just like "oh. okay." and im like >>;; hold up for a minute, i must watch this.

and tbh it was kinda anticlimatic looool. i'd already heard and read about what happened in the clip and the clip was very bad quality, but I WAS STILL VERY VERY HAPPY!!

and then we had lobster for dinner :B

on a shittier note, i havent actually done any holiday homework. at all. none. zero. 

i tried to start on my personal reading response and opened word and a new document and shit, but then i got distracted by, well, the internet. and then later that night i was going thru all my windows and saw that doc window open and was like 

and i was actually gonna do it tonight in bed, but i got distracted by your mum  this blog post.

glasses and gore

oh, so here's some depressing news.

went to the optometrist. i have astigmatism in one eye (meh google it) so the optometrist said i have to wait until i get my glasses before i can get my license, instead of being able to take a certificate to AA and have it done, like i was told. Glasses take 5- 10 working days. In 7 working days, It'll be august 1st and thats when the new law on the driving age is implemented, which means that if i dont get my glasses in 7 working days, I've wasted 200 and something bucks on glasses, 90 bucks on the learners test, and will have to wait another whole frickin year to get my learners.

so, well. yeah.

fuck my fucking life.

the receptionist lady there was so so nice! she was hilarious haha. she marked my order as 'urgent' and said she'd keep me updated with texts and stuff.

i've got a really boring pair of glasses haha. they're really simple ones with thin frames cuz i dont think i suit thick frames. i was gonna get those geek-chic ones that are pretty popular atm but i though they stood out too much in my face and i didn't really suit them either.

i'm trying not to think about the glasses/learners license situation too much. too depressing :(


i'm watching black hawk down right now. oh my golly gosh so many people die in this movie. so much blood! is it really really sick that i kinda like the blood and gore shit? i guess i like movies that force a reaction from me, whether its tears or a disgusted face haha. i think i'm also like, desensitizing myself to gross spillage of blood for later when i become a surgeon :)

i just had my first experience with raw oysters

it felt like fear factor.
and when I finally got the guts to chomp it down, it tasted just like muscles so idk what all the fuss about oysters is about.



so, on thursday last week i went to take my learners test and i nearly failed it (i got 3 wrong, which is the maximum) holy crap man, i was under so much pressure cuz i got 3 wrong at question 19 and there were 35 questions in total so i was like ... SHIT.

anyway, i passed, but i couldn't get my license cuz i failed the eye test. who knew i'm pretty much blind in my right eye, aye? it was really embarrassing. my parents were pissed haha. i went to the doctors yesterday and they just did one of those 'stand away from the paper with the letters and read em out' tests and my left eye was pretty sweet but my right eye could barely read the second line. :S i never noticed because my left eye is doing all the work for my right eye, so i've been able to see. but now i have to wear glasses as i drive :(

well, just as my mum and I were leaving the doctors office, this guy stops me and he's all like, "the receptionist told you to go to that place on dominion road? don't go there. i went there and bought these glasses for 800 bucks whereas this place near the foodtown in mt eden only cost 200 bucks." and we were like "omg thank you u just saved us 600 bucks kthxbai!" thinking that this guy was such a nice person.

and then we went to the place that the receptionist suggested and the eye tests thingy were only 30 bucks. but then the place that the guy suggested costed 65 bucks. -______-"

me and my mum think that the guy probably worked at the place or something and wanted some new customers.

ANYWAY. I've got an appointment tmrw and i'm just gonna get the certificate that says i'm getting glasses AND THEN I'M GOING TO THE AA OFFICE AND IM GONNA GET MY FRICKIN LEARNERS LICENSE FYEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! :D
