it is 2:30am and i have choir tmrw lol this should be interesting...
I missed yesterday's post due to priorities (chem test, sleep) so I really didn't want to miss today as well!
Just as a thing for yesterday: I WENT TO WATCH WICKED (which was why I had no time to blog bcs I got home at 11 and needed to CRAM FOR CHEM) AND OH MY GOD IT WAS SO AMAZING PLEASE GO WATCH IT IF U HAVE $50 LYING AROUND, SERIOUSLY IT IS SO WORTH IT, I LOVED IT I LOVED IT I LOVED IT SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH IT WAS AMAZING
1. History shared lunch and watching anna karenina. A couple of us watched all through lunchtime (I cancelled my tutoring session for it hahaha) and since it was just us, we were shouting at the screen through the movie and oh my god there is this one bit where they're communicating through this game with blocks where you spell out the words from the first letters of each word in a sentence and it's just SO LONG. We were like "YOU COULDVE USED THE SCREENTIME FOR SOMETHING ELSE" and it was so funny and just went on forever and it ended with them spelling out "ILY" through the blocks and we just LOST OUR SHIT IT WAS SO FUNNY OH MY GOD I'M PRETTY SURE TOLSTOY DIDN'T WRITE ILY IN ANNA KARENINA AND IT WASN'T AN INTENTIONAL TEXT-SPEAK THING BUT THAT JUST MADE IT FUNNIER
also, mmf aaron johnson (despite the gross moustache and hair)
2. maths test results came back and it went pretty alright! Paper One was like... below my usual standards but considering i was expecting a total fail, I'm still quite happy with it. Really satisfied with Paper 2 hehe 23/26 (and the 3 marks were off things I completely had not encountered/did not know how to do previously so I'm alg with it because learning processes and all that)
3. I MADE A REALLY GOOD PUN IN ENGLISH TODAY OMFG. Ms Moy said she didn't like Keira knightley's films just because it's keira knightley and i was like "....so do you have a PREJUDICE against keira knightley?" and then i lost my shit (cerys' laugh was so funny omg) and ms moy looked so confused and i was like "pride and prejudice" and she was like ohhhhhh and just kinda put her head in her hands and everyne was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and i was so pleased with myself hehehe
extra #4: I managed to get up early today (6am is really fucking early for me) so that I could study for chem and it felt good to be up at that time!!! So much less stressful in the morning... Might start doing it more often next term me thinks

1. I had an orthodontist appointment in the morning and when I got to school, I had to go past the quad to get to the iona centre and there were CHERRY BLOSSOMS IN BLOOM and I was in such an odd mood what with being super sleep deprived but strung up on caffeine that I saw them and just started giggling to myself and couldn't stop grinning because I LOVE CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!! I must have been a strange sight.... I feel like today and yesterday have really made it clear that it is officially spring and I adore it, I really do.
2. SHIT BIO IS INTERESTING THESE DAYS!!! Doing pathogens right now. It was a little difficult to follow today because I was only half concentrating on the lesson because the other half of my focus was with me trying to BREATHE PROPERLY because I had a blocked/runny nose (from sneezing lol) and I didn't want to leave the room to blow it because I didn't want to miss vital new information. In retrospect, if I just took 2 minutes to go and sort it out I probably could have concentrated better hahaha, ah well.

1. PRODUCTIVITY FUCK YEAH MOTHERFUCKER!!!! Well, sort of. I spent most the day pretty on task and did a lot of french vocab + maths study, but both of those take a shitload of time for me to actually do in comparison to other people, I've noticed.
2. Was meant to have chapel and meet with choir at 8:30 but I have become immune to my alarm clock and woke up at 9:10am from my mum knocking on my door and being like "ARENT U SUPPOSED TO BE SOMEWHERE THIS MORNING?" and I SCREAMED "OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and right at that moment, Cherry called me and was like "hey where are you" and I was like "I AM VERY FUCKING LATE APPARENTLY!!!!!". So I got ready rapid-fast, and while I was in the bathroom Calypso called me while I was in mid-pee and I panicked and had to deliberate whether it would be gross if I answered and decided that, uh, yeah probably. I came up with some bullshit excuse about being knocked out from medicine since I was sick (cough cough) just in case Flinty was being told information.
Then when I actually got to school, it was literally 3 minutes before chapel was about to start, and all the Saints girls were waiting outside as usual, and I RAN OUT OF MY CAR BEFORE IT EVEN FULLY STOPPED AND I WAS LIKE "SORRY SORRY SORRY OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY" and Flinty was laughing and I was super surprised because I totally expected her to be raging but she actually helped me out of my blazer and put my blazer away in the chapel for me and I was predominantly feeling the emotion of "AWWWWWWWWWWWW GB" but with hints of "she seems WAY too chill about all these incidents of me arriving SUPER late to things I think she's planning something... aka my death"
OH ALSO, at the morning tea after chapel, the all-powerful lynda came up to me and sophie and she asked what our plans for today were and I was like "well I have a maths test tomorrow so I'll be studying for that" and she was like oh you need to enjoy some of this wonderful weather and I was like mmkay will do and I asked her what she was doing for the rest of the day and had a brief moment of panic where I wondered if I overstepped my boundaries but then she was very willing to share how she had shittons of work from the board and how she was also renovating her house AND ALL THROUGH THIS SHE WAS VERY VERY CLOSE TO US. I think many teachers seriously do not understand the concept of personal space hahaha...
3. THE WEATHER WAS SO NICE AND WARM AND SUNNY AND BLUE-SKIED TODAY AND IT MADE ME SO HAPPY!!!!!!! I was doing my work with my window open and sun shining on my face and I even made a berry smoothie in the afternoon and IT FELT LIKE SUMMER!!!!!!!!!! And then the sunset made my room way too bright and hot and orange and I got sleepy and accidentally fell asleep for more than an hour, so that's probably where a lot of my study time went today!!

waaah it's late! I have chapel tomorrow morning SIGH
1. took forever on a maths question and then FELT THE WONDERFUL SATISFACTION OF FIGURING IT OUT FINALLY AFTER HOURS AND HOURS YESSSSSS (I realised today that I take way too long doing maths questions woah). I have a test on Monday and really need to redeem myself after my last test result :S
2. i watched an episode of suits. donna is amazing and her sass are my GOALS
3. re-established conversation with a friend I haven't talked to in a while (well, not actually that long but I had been chatting them really frequently for a longggg time and hadn't for like, a week and felt bad over it)

*SCREAMS FROM FRUSTRATION* I actually already wrote this post last night at around 3am on my phone when I woke up (I fell asleep at 10 reading akutgawa-- party hard) BUT THEN I FORGOT TO SAVE THE POST AND THIS MORNING IT WAS GONE so I'm pretty pissed off hahaha
Bling bling for the blazer!!!! Mum and I arrived at the cultural honours thingy and found out through the programme/cathee that I had received three cultural honours awards! YAY! That may seem a bit odd if you don't know how cultural honours works but what happens is that we don't find out how many awards/what awards we get until the night of. I actually applied for four but missed out on getting debating because apparently you also need to have done service to the school (eg coach a team/adjudicate) which is fair enough I guess! So, I ended up receiving honours for Chinese Culture (for CDG), Music (for choir), and Drama (for shakespeare soiree). Funny thing that I didn't realise was that no other Year 12s got more than 2 cultural honours except for me, and the other people who got three honours were all year 13s so I'm pretty stoked/surprised. Only four people got quadruple honours and they were Brit, Pooja, Anty, and Sabrina. I'm in awe of how Pooja got five cultural honours last year in year 12!! CRAZY!!!!
When we first got there, I felt bad about leaving mum alone so I hung with her and we both stuffed our faces lol and then I ran into Nicole and her dad, and her dad and my mum were classmates so I was like HEY LOOK MUM, HERE IS A PERSON YOU MAY CONVERSE WITH and I ditched and hung out with friends. (I did however check up on her to see if she was suffering from social awkwardness/running out of things to discuss with Nicole's dad but mum was like IM FINE so I gapped again lol)
To start off the award presentation there were four performances. Samoan group (missing half their members and their drummer!), Ling and Cerys's dance (my mum thought it was incredible and I couldn't agree more), Mel's (Y13) monologue from Hamlet (mum later complained about how she couldn't understand anything she said and I was like mum, it's shakespeare, 90% of the audience didn't understand what she was saying don't worry), and a piano piece from Sylvia (MIND BLOWING OMFG).

2. I actually read Hell Screen and Spinning Gears I'm so proud of myself for finally getting it done omfg now I actually know what is going on in english class
3. idk TOK was pretty interesting I guess. TOK is nearly always interesting lol. Ms B told us about her life in South Africa and how someone can get desensitized to violence and I felt like a lot of it was super applicable to how I've been feeling about our history classes lately what with studying Stalin and hearing about how he approved the execution of around 3000 people all in one day. I JUST REALLY ENJOY LEARNING ABOUT HUMANITYYYYYYYY

tugging on my heart strings

1. 20/20 in french vocab test can i get a hallelujah?!?!?!?! let's hope it carries on to next week's test...
2. bio dissection of heart and lungs. SO interesting this time around compared to the last time I did it in Year 9/10, because Mrs O did our first incision which meant we were actually able to see certain things in the heart instead of totally butchering it. Heart strings are such fantastic little things imo. I really love the heart, it's incredible.
3. history got really intense because we finished watching the stalin documentary and it was really depressing thinking about how many people he killed, and we were all getting really into comparing stalin with mao and hitler and wondering why stalin is barely ever seen to be more "evil" than hitler, and why mao is still to this day so openly celebrated in china, despite the part he played in killing off thousands and even millions of people. I just find the number of people Stalin sent to their gravesit pretty fucking unfathomable. Looking at those statistics disconnects us from actually thinking about the extent of the horrors and the individual human lives that were all lost. I know this isn't particularly positive, but from my perspective, I really enjoyed being in an environment where everyone was just as passionate and interested in the topic and where we could have an educated discussion and make links to try to understand these historical figures -- and if you want to get cheesy -- try to understand humanity better as well.
also, i got 15/16 for my history essay which is pretty good except I had high expectations to meet after my 17 from my first essay. sometimes i do feel like ms french marks low just to mark low, you know what I mean? But whatever, it's not like I worked particularly hard on the essay either way.

Then at the English shared lunch, I pigged out so bad and I felt like a blob for the rest of the day. The platter of sushi from Ms M was depleted in 0.5 seconds, I'd say. Mmmmmm....
Cerys was being too pussy to eat the wasabi peas and it took her so much mental preparation and when she finally ate it she was like "oh" because it wasn't even that spicy hahahah.
1. Lunch (including English shared lunch)
Went to watch the superhero debate in the library and I walked in and I saw Myron and I was like "??? omg hEYYYY!!!?!??!!!". Debate was pretty average but our side was quite entertaining at least. I'm surprised any AGS guys even bothered to do the debate considering they're on exams at the moment. Andy was also there but I kinda left to do my french when he was speaking.Then at the English shared lunch, I pigged out so bad and I felt like a blob for the rest of the day. Super interesting classes today! We were doing some new stuff about the circulatory system in bio which I'm really digging atm. I JUST REALLY ENJOY LEARNING ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY WHY CAN'T WE DO MORE OF IT!?!?!? Ms A did a geeky moment where she took a moment to appreciate how magnificent the human body is and how it barely fucks up even though it's totally susceptible to all types of errors, and I was p much in my head like GURL U GET ME, I FEEL U OK
And then in history we watched a doc thing on Stalin and WOW STALIN WAS A RUTHLESS MOTHERFUCKER but much like bio, I am finding Russia to be very interesting except I wish I could just get my shit together and catch up on all the readings and exercises in my workbooks/textbooks so I could feel better about history!!
3. Afterschool
I was supposed to tutor Grace but she ditched for her history internal, so I ended up bumming around in the library, and ran into Xiwan who was seeking advice on her subjects for next year since she's doing IB, and somewhere along the way in the convo she was like "oh I aspire to be like you" and I was like (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
And then I went to the music department before choir and we made stupid songs with a guitar about eyelashes and libby and how green-is-not-a-creative-colour etc which was fun.

I spent 2 hours studying for the French vocab test so if I get anything below 18/20 I may openly weep from frustration in class.

HEEEEEEEEY have you missed me? I've been a bit AWOL, sorry about that. Will need to write my Pinnacles Tramp blog post sooner or later (IT WAS FUN!) but for now, you're just going to have to put up with a brief 3 things for today.
1. Slept in and went to school near the end of P2 because I was exhausted from tramping (and writing my history essay until 1am) and thankfully didn't even miss anything in P1 or P2 (bio - unit we've thoroughly studied last year; history - group presentation work). This meant I had a super short day!
2. I spent a couple of hours doing shit all (not a good thing) but I discovered a new youtube channel that I couldn't get off and she's hilarious and basically the kind of person I wish I could be (with the abundance of confidence and the ability to pull of jokes/punchlines really well and SPEAK REALLY FUCKING FAST)
3. Went with my brother to get a cake from New World for library bake sale tmrw, and came home and I tried my hand at icing the cake (superman logo in the middle and red around the sides) and oh my god it was a disaster IT TOOK ME AN HOUR??? AND IT LOOKS LIKE SHIT LOL i've never iced a cake before!!

acupuncture protege

In English today we had a quick lecture/crash course on the history of Japan and it was really interesting!! I kept making all these links with China (and Russia to an extent) and I was just like MMMFFGH HISTORY!!!!!!!! It's interesting to see how Japan got similarly screwed over as China did after WW1 and how Japan's military and economy developed and was able to make all the other countries go wtf.
Also, the lesson started quite late and I was late in the morning and worried that they had started early and walked in at 8:28 but it was alg! Saw Mei walk in really frantically and her relief when she realised that everyone still wasn't in their seats or anything lol.
OMG OKAY THIS GOT ME SO BAD!!! Today my mum was texted by Amy (my brother's girlfriend) regarding acupuncture, who said that she had a colleague who had all this weird health shit and would probably benefit from acupuncture. My mum, however, didn't realise it was Amy, my brother's girlfriend, and instead thought it was another Amy, her classmate. Thinking that class!Amy was texting her to let her know about her new patient, my mum replied with something along the lines of "good experience for you! GOD I REALLY MISS MY HISTORY FREE PERIODS!!! I had a free period today for maths and basically spent it organising shit and texting/calling places. Speaking of which, I called up my surgery place to rearrange an appointment and this is relevant because I missed writing in a blog post weeks back that I finally have a surgery date! It is the last day of school (prizegiving), December 13th. I'M SO EXCITED WEEEEE!!!
Uh yeah, so today in free period it was some nice quiet time. Ms B was working in the library as well and she said hi which was nice. It's a little awkward for me because I never can tell where the line is with teacher student relationships, like obviously I'm never going to have her as a teacher again, so am I allowed to have conversations about like, game of thrones with her, like, is that okay?????? It's always a bit odd seeing past teachers in the corridors because it's like DO YOU STILL KNOW WHO I AM??? I always see Mr Olsson and make eye contact and it's weird because I've never been any of his classes except for his SAT course but I don't think he knows who I am so I never say hi and it's always SO AWKWARD UGH.
Extra #4: not sure if this can be counted as a positive thing of my day but I wasted 2 hours of my life today doing this logo thing for my dad and I'm really proud of it even though I resent doing it SO MUCH. After making it I couldn't get back into my studious zone for the whole night and barely got anything done :(

The tower, the stars, all of them had to be done via me going over the original internet-found images with shapes (THAT TOWER IS MADE OF CIRCLES AND LINES OFF MACROMEDIA FIREWORKS) and then deleting the original image underneath. I had to do that so that the images weren't blurry with weird colours on the logo and it took me so long!! I think it looks quite nice though! My dad didn't like it and I was like -_______- r u srs FINE U DO IT >:/

1. Had a dmc with mei at lunch because I was feeling really shit about school and life and whatever. It was really nice espesh because I feel like I haven't sat down and talked with a friend for a proper length of time for so long!!!
2. Did the Year8 transitional afternoon session thing and the year 8s just asked questions in our groups and I and a Year 9 (Grace from choir, not the one i tutor) answer. We got iceblocks at the end hehe. The teacher with our group (she's a new y8 teacher) told Mrs L that I'd done really well as a facilitator or something because Mrs L came up to me and was like "I heard you were great!!" and gave me a little squeeze and I was like awww (≧◡≦)
One of the year 9s in faizah's group said "oh, in year 9 you get SO much more homework!! I have to stay up to 9:30 to finish it!!!" and faizah was like dontlaughdontlaughdontlaughdontlaugh!!!!!!!!
They asked me about IB and I was kinda like "Y'ALL ARE IN Y8 U DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IB JUST YET OK"
3. Got 800 words of my history essay done. Except that's only one and 2/3rds of my paragraphs. I have 6 paragraphs in total. THIS DOES NOT ADD UP WELL!!!!!!!!!! But I like how it's coming along, content wise!

Sorry I'm in a bit of a rush tonight! Also lbr I had two tests today (Chem and french) and bombed both of them so i'm finding it a little difficult to find redeeming parts of my day haha
1. International Food Day making the hall smell like Indian food and even though I didn't buy anything (I already had a nice lunch ha) somehow I just enjoyed being in the hustle bustle of it all idk man i'm a freak
2. Finished a french writing and I always feel so proud of myself after doing a french writing because it takes me so long and I always think it's super pro and shit (until, of course, I get it back with red pen all over it in corrections) but the initial feeling of completion is still like YES I CAN DO ANYTHINGGGGGGGG PARLEZ-VOUS FRANCAIS MOTHERFUCKER?????
3. Afterschool I was waiting at the chapel and Nicole R was there as well, so we chatted even though I don't think I've ever really spoken a lot to her before. I guess it was a positive thing for me because it was nice talking to someone I don't usually talk to. I feel as though I don't know particular members of my year group very well? Like I wish I was able to start up a random conversation with anyone in my year with no apprehensions at any time like I did today!

I know it's one of the basic templates for blogspot but I think it looks nicer than what I had before what with the blurry background image and stupid font problems (I couldn't change anything without it going straight to default and becoming Georgia font ugh)
If you look to your right, you will notice I have made a poll that I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like you to do!!! DO IT!!! IT'S ANONYMOUS and it's only there because I want to know what kinda readers I have. I have a feeling some people may be reading regularly (HI!) that may not feel like revealing themselves because they don't know me very well in real life so I just want to see if I'm right and if there are actually any readers like that. I used to be one of those people hehe.
I even sacrificed a cute title for this post so that I could further persuade you to go and do the godforsaken POLL!!!!! :D
Today I discovered two more people who read/know about my blog (hi nadia hi amy) and although I don't mind them at all, it came as a bit of a shock because I realised I am completely underestimating the amount of people who read this blog.... ALSO, HOW ARE PEOPLE EVEN FINDING THE BLOG LOL IS IT WORD OF MOUTH?? I'M SO BEWILDERED TBH??? I'm a little worried of people reading my pre 2013 posts though.... erk. That was definitely not an invitation for you to go lurking in there. Seriously. Don't you have something better to do? Go study.
1. Woke up in the morning in a very good mood because there was blue skies and sunshine out my window!! Is this reverse pathetic fallacy????
2. Debate in bio about IVF and I got forced into being the speaker for our group and I got rather into it hehe oops I REALLY ENJOY DEBATING!!!! I will miss debating season :'(
Also, I realised that the people who got shortlisted for Rotary Forum from NM Rotary were all people in my debating group (Nadia, Nee, and I)!! COINCIDENCE?! I THINK NOT!!!
3. I had another mini breakdown today, this time in History, and when I got home I fucking scheduled my whole night so that I would get shit done and study for both chem and french. I ended up accidentally procrastinating for half an hour from refurbishing this blog but otherwise I felt I was quite successful! Feeling underprepared for both tests though.... We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Shit I wasted a lot of time today!
1. This killed me. Watch it man. Give it a go. You won't regret it (well, you might but it'll be worth it)
2. Listened to both interactive orals from class and found it interesting seeing how it's more difficult than expected to actually try to identify someone by their voice (lauren, meilin and billie have very strong accents!!!). The earthquake alarm went off in the middle and I laughed.
3. Wrote my reflective statement in 20 minutes... guess what I was doing for the rest of the day (nothing) guess what I was meant to get accomplished (a shitload)
That's okay. More work for tomorrow I guess....

GOOD DAY SUCH A GOOD DAY!!! I'm sorry but I fell asleep with my face in the keyboard and a blank blogspot page open hahahaha I was really tired okay????
Before I begin to discuss what happened at the prizegiving for netball, I just need to state that on Friday night I decided to have a nap at around 5pm and then briefly woke up around 9pm and 11pm with my brother's noisiness and my mum closing my curtains and stuff, but I ended up sleeping through the night and woke up at 6:30am!!!!! I SLEPT FOR ALMOST 14 HOURS WHAT THE FUCK
I think I may have forgotten to mention this but our team came runner up in our grade YAAAAAAAAAY!!! We went to prizegiving and some shit must've happened because we, senior team 13 got incorrectly printed as senior team 17! The woman announced team 17 and we were like ummm is that us??? Our school teams actually only go up to 14 so there isn't a team 17 and we were really confused. It was pretty funny but also kind of stink because we were pretty keen to get our awards and have our little moment of glory hahaha. They're going to correct the team name on the certificates and then send them over to school (but I have a feeling they might change the team name to something else that's also wrong...).

Lorde was fantastic she was ethereal and amazing and a goddess and wow honestly I am so proud of her and her successes I FEEL LIKE A PROUD MAMA WATCHING HER GROW UP AND VENTURE OUT INTO THE WORLD AND SHE'S SPREADING HER WINGS AND FLYING AND I AM BACK AT HOME CHEERING HER ON!!!!!!!!
Her new songs sounded really great and I'm so excited for her album!!!!
I felt rather bad because I was super pumped and really hyper due to how excited I was for Lorde but Josh was pretty tired (HE YAWNED 5 TIMES DURING MT EDEN DUBSTEP LOL) so I think I may have drained some energy from him. During the coat check I ran into Khusboo who I knew from intermediate and we chatted a little until Josh and I embarrassingly discovered that you have to actually pay (with cash) for the coat check and we were like er nvm we'll just hold onto our shit....
During the opening act, Josh and I got attacked by Ann and Michael (lin) and we ended up hanging with them for the whole concert which was pretty sweet!! Also ran into Ruby and Charlotte V (well, they ran into us) and a little further on, Kate I, Phoebe, Aneeka and co. Aneeka was particularly excited to see me hahaha alg tho concerts are probably her prime environment since her loud hyperactive personality is really suited to it!! It was awkward though because Kate was who tapped me on the shoulder and when I first saw her I couldn't actually recognize who it was and it took about 2 seconds before I was like "OH HEYYYYYYYYY!!!!" and then the bunch of them and us caused a bit of a scene and everyone around us was like wtf.
Oh speaking of people around us: Josh and I were trying to get to a better position since we couldn't see from where we were, so we were trying to get past these girls when they said quite audibly "CAN U FUCK OFF" and I was like OH HELL NO WHAT DID U JUST SAY TO ME and responded "EXCUSE ME?" and they were like "LORDE WOULDN'T LIKE THAT LOL FUCK OFF" and okay ngl I was pretty proud of my ability to coherently come up with a response in that situation because I wasn't going to put up with that shit from a bunch of shore whores so I was like (with a smile on my face) "Sorry, do I know you? ...No? THEN WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?" And I literally wanted to light a match and roar "BUUUUUURN" in their faces and I could hear Josh laughing and they were like "YEAH WELL YOU DON'T KNOW LORDE" (thus why I came to the conclusion that they were shore skanks since they probably went to takupuna grammar with lorde) and I was like "who the FUCK do u think u are BIIIIIITCH u think u the shit dont you?" and it got pretty annoying because we got stuck in that position since the crowd was really thick around there and I didn't really want to spend the whole concert next to them so I gapped it and traded places with Josh so I could avoid having to see their ratchet ass faces lol they moved away eventually though.
So, yeah, I got into a verbal tussle at a concert, aren't you proud of me???????? :D

I was wearing heels for the night so that I could see in the mosh and it was a pretty good decision tbh!! I wish the crowd was a bit more excitable because everyone just stood there during all the songs and didn't sing along or cheer at all!!!! LEGIT, DURING THE END OF SONGS I COULD ONLY HEAR ME, ANN, AND SOMETIMES JOSH CHEERING. NO ONE ELSE AROUND US CHEERED WTF APPLAUD THE HOLY LORDE U INCOMPETENT FOOLS!!! So yeah the audience wasn't great but Lorde was FLAWLESS!!!!! Mt Eden Dubstep weren't even that bad imo hahaha

And I literally wanted to light a match and roar "BUUUUUURN" in their faces and I could hear Josh laughing and they were like "YEAH WELL YOU DON'T KNOW LORDE" (thus why I came to the conclusion that they were shore skanks since they probably went to takupuna grammar with lorde) and I was like "who the FUCK do u think u are BIIIIIITCH u think u the shit dont you?" and it got pretty annoying because we got stuck in that position since the crowd was really thick around there and I didn't really want to spend the whole concert next to them so I gapped it and traded places with Josh so I could avoid having to see their ratchet ass faces lol they moved away eventually though.
So, yeah, I got into a verbal tussle at a concert, aren't you proud of me???????? :D

I was wearing heels for the night so that I could see in the mosh and it was a pretty good decision tbh!! I wish the crowd was a bit more excitable because everyone just stood there during all the songs and didn't sing along or cheer at all!!!! LEGIT, DURING THE END OF SONGS I COULD ONLY HEAR ME, ANN, AND SOMETIMES JOSH CHEERING. NO ONE ELSE AROUND US CHEERED WTF APPLAUD THE HOLY LORDE U INCOMPETENT FOOLS!!! So yeah the audience wasn't great but Lorde was FLAWLESS!!!!! Mt Eden Dubstep weren't even that bad imo hahaha

1. I GOT INTO THE ROTARY FORUM SHORTLISTINGS!!!!!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!! When I first found out I didn't realise it was only the shortlist into what will then be the auckland district organizer cutting down applicants to 22 people only and I thought I was being offered a place into the forum and I was SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was jumping around and screaming and being a general excited pain in the butt. I am so surprised because I made such a mess in the interviews that I didn't think there was a chance in hell that I'd get into the forum! There is absolutely no way that I will get into the final 22 people because gosh have u seen the smart and talented people around Auckland? No way in hell man. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted hahaha
2. There was a chem olympiad tutorial at form time which I actually didn't find too difficult to follow which made me feel really good about myself! I also JI'd into the Bio Schol class afterschool today and it was surprisingly super easy and we did a worksheet on sickle cell anaemia and I was like alg. Bio Schol requires you to write three essay question answers in three hours which is WAY more than enough time to get those answers down. Anyway, the reason I mention these two sessions is because they're both extension-ish things so I'm glad I'm getting opportunities to... well, extend myself, I guess.
3. Dr Giffney also emailed me about offering me a place on the Metagenomiacs (?) Day thing and I was SO HAPPY because yesterday, the bio olympiad girls got an email saying that due to the limit of 5 students from our school, they were only taking bio olympiad girls, which meant I wouldn't be able to go, and I had been looking forward to it and keen since I heard about it all those weeks ago. But then they made that new rule and I was gutted. But the email I got today along with Becca H invited us if we were interested and I was like YES I AM INTERESTED LET ME RUN TESTS ON SOIL PLS THANKKKKKKKKKKKK

Cathee just gave me a dirty look in English because she checked my blog and there wasn't a post for yesterday so now I have been guilt tripped into posting a catch up hehe
1. The girl I tutor for English (Grace) was working on her Heavenly Creatures essay and we were talking about the key ideas of the movie and how one was the "blurring of lines between fantasy and reality" and I was like "BLUURREEED LIIIIIIIIIINES" and omfg Grace (bless her soul) was like "that video is sexy" and I was like "nO!!! STOP"
2. In TOK we started the AOK of History and Ms Mave came in and did a little presentation on History and omfg I just love the human sciences SO MUCH it's actually a little worrying because I'm enjoying it so much more than the natural sciences and it's like SHOULD I EVEN BE A DOCTOR IF I ENJOY HUMAN SCIENCES MORE THAN NATURAL SCIENCES :'( also uh omfg total teacher crush on Ms Mave she has such a nice voice and she dresses so well and she is so interesting and she looks like Irene Adler in Sherlock!!!!!!!!!!! It's interesting to see how History is never ever certain and it's kind of inspiring to me rather than disheartening because it makes me want to EXPLORE THE INFORMATION FOR MYSELFFFFFFF
ZAVARA SAYS HELLO (we are currently working together on our English analysis of Spinning Gears by Akutugawa)

cupid has competition

1. Yeah okay lets be honest today was a pretty shit day but it forced me to take a step back and reevaluate my life and my priorities and the way I use my time. Even though I was in a horrible state for the whole day at school, it was something I really needed in order to get my act back together because I've seriously been slacking off these few months. So yes this is a positive thing in the way that I'm looking at it as a new, refreshed beginning.
Going hand in hand with that little *monumental realisation*, today I was quite productive when I got home (although I did somehow waste an hour entering the IHeartRadio NZ competition for free Lorde tickets dozens of times). I even got some SAT practice done! :) Hopefully I will keep it up tomorrow!
I think I'm going to start writing a hour-by-hour diary of what I did in that hour (don't worry I won't post it on blogger and bore everyone to tears). This is just to make sure I'm using my time wisely so that I can actually see what all my time is going into.
2. I KNOW A THING AND THIS THING INVOLVES SOMEONE LIKING MY FRIEND AND THEY ASKED ME IF SHE WAS SINGLE AND I'M SO EXCITED HEHE WELCOME BACK VICKY THE MATCHMAKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The last time vicky the matchmaker came out, ben and meilin happened, I'M JUST SAYIN!!! Ok so I called my friend for like, 20 minutes (using my phone credit fml) informing her of this new turn of events AND I HOPE THEY GET TOGETHER BECAUSE SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HOW CUTE
3. Bio today was really entertaining imo because we had the student teacher teaching us and Mrs O was away, and we finally all found out what our student teacher's name actually was (to her mock horror)!! I love her omg her british accent is the nicest thing to listen to and she's so smiley and has such a nice attitude and SO PRETTY!!! Goals pretty much.

HEY I'M BACK YAAAAAAAAY!!!! Super tired right now even though I had a nap before from 5-9pm... I felt so sleepy in English and French today, and I had a french test so I completely blew it :(
This happened in English because I had my eyes closed and head on the desk:
I wrote in a diary while I was at big sing so you'll get those entries in maybe a couple days time.... hopefully. (warning there's a lot of lachie creepin so I'm sorry if you don't enjoy reading that but I enjoy writing it and IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE VERY ENTERTAINING TO READ BACK ON IN A COUPLE YEARS TIME)
Onto today's three things!
1. WE DISSECTED OVARIES AND TESTES IN BIO TODAY and i'm enjoying this topic because it presents opportunities to yell "PENIS" in class at the teacher and have it be totally appropriate
2. Stage challenge assembly! I now have a new badge to add to my collection weeeee blinged out
3. Cathee tortured me with Lachie related things in history today and it was not very nice
lol everytime i saw someone from choir today we would just hug and do a very loud whine of "i DONT WANT TO BE HERE AT SCHOOL TODAY I MISS BIG SING"
