I'M WRITING THIS BEFORE MIDNIGHT oMG OMGOMGOMG? TIRER LES SIGNAL D'ALARME!!!!!!!! but knowing me, by the time I finish it's going to be after midnight (TAKE A DRINK)

I have choir sectionals tomorrow morning ughhhh

1. Doing shit all at school

I had two free periods today! After TOK, in tutor time I ended up just talking ball dresses and dates with Cherry and Meilin and Nadia and stuff. Cherry tried on my lilac dress because I'm trying to sell it (mum couldn't get my dress today because she got out of class at 5pm and shops were closed so she's going tomorrow, fingers crossed!) and in all honesty she looks really good in it and fills it out so much better than I do. I think this is because of our different chest shapes ie she has bigger boobs lol. Then in free period P3 there was more ball dress/date talk outside the library, and STILL more when I went into the library (SHOUTOUT TO RAAYA HEY RAAYA HOW U GOIN GUUURL). Everyone has black dresses! I fit in with everyone but simultaneously I have become an indecipherable sheep in a dress that will be worn by at least 3 others. AH WELL

In my second free period in p6, Cerys and I hung out and started to do our presentation for social enterprise. THE PRESENTATIONS ARE ON SATURDAY, AS IN, THIS FUCKING SATURDAY. AND WE JUST REALISED THAT TODAY, AND WE HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING DONE!!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I randomly made up a name for our thing while with Cerys: it's "immiNZ" because our idea is about immigration. Like it? That's basically all we've done so far. And we chose a theme for our prezi presentation hahahaha we're screwed

2. SILENCE IN THE LIBRARY!!!!!!

In that free period, mr allan's year 9 music class came and did some sort of filmed interpretive flash mob-style music performance using books and noises for beats and all this noise just came out of nowhere in the library and we were like wat is hAPPENING?!!?!? As they were leaving I heard Mr Allan saying that they were going to Mrs Reid's office hahaha I should've followed them and witnessed her and the other SMT's reaction.

3. Choir

Grace and I skipped our tutor session since we had to be at choir at 4pm instead of 4:30pm so that we could try on sizes for the school jackets we're buying for our cold trip to Dunedin for finale. Hung out with everyone (well not everyone) in the period beforehand, and just bummed around in the choir room as we were trying on the VERY LARGE jackets. The smallest is a size small but the shoulder seam comes down the slope of my shoulder and it's big on me but it's HUGE on the little year 9s!! When they wear the large, it looks like they're wearing a blanket hahaha. We found out what we're doing in Dunedin because we're going for 5 days when the performances are only over 3 days. On the first day we've got a lunchtime performance and then we can shop around (in Dunedin??? Great shopping hahaha) and have dinner together. The three middle days will be competition days where it's just listening to other choirs and performing twice. And then on the last day our choir director has planned for us to go to the Chocolate factory, Otago Uni campus, other touristy things, and we're going to play lazer tag!!!! LOL WTF I KNOW RIGHT?! I'M REALLY EXCITED FOR IT HAHAHAHA

Choir continues to sound better and better and I'm so happy for how far we've come :) This time last year, we still didn't know 3 of our 6 pieces to the extent that we had to pull them out of the Choral Showcase performance, but now we've got all 6 of our pieces (nearly) totally memorised!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

Well, today has been a very... rocky day! Although spoiler alert, it ends with a happy ending :)

1. Ball dress drama

First off I would like to begin by saying that I am not proud of myself today for the way I'd been acting over this whole ball dress situation. If you've been reading my blog, or if you've been in proximity of me today, you'd have at some point heard me complaining about my ball dress. From chemistry class when we were discussing ball, to my free period, to tonight on twitter, I have been a non-stop negativity truck. The worst thing is that it's SO PETTY!! Honestly, balls don't matter, they really don't. And I know this. I know my complaints over a dress is just so ridiculously insignificant that it's laughable. In all honesty, the whole concept of balls and proms is so superficial and so meaningless! It's all built on this idea which puts on so much pressure on students, especially girls, to live up to this idea of looking good in a stunning dress + accessories, with a hot ball date, perfect make up and intricate hair. Do you think it's worth spending so much money on one 4-hour experience, even though it's one of those experiences that many people feel obligated to have? 

Sorry, I digress, going back to what happened today: yes I was complaining a lot about the dress. Throughout the day I began to feel shittier and shittier about it. After school, my mum and I went to St Lukes to exchange my sweatpants at cotton on (AGAIN!!! i KNOW! We spent about half an hour debating the colours and ended up choosing an electric blue, which is the same as Sueyeon's pair hahaha) and afterwards my mum dragged me along to look at stores, and we ended up in blueberry and I tried on a ball dress just to see, and it wasn't very nice and made me look painfully flatchested (which I am, but hey the least I can do is hide the fact!). Then we went to forever new where we were looking at shoes, and then on the changing room rack, I saw a long black maxi dress and was like HMMM I'LL TRY IT ON! And then.... I fell in love with it.... SIGH. But alas, I already had a frumpy lilac dress waiting at home for me, and how could I be unfaithful to it? I've never been a cheater, never been one to go off and get a bit on the side! But seriously, I already had a dress so I don't know what I was doing torturing myself by trying on another dress that I really liked. I begged my mum to let me buy it so I could wear it instead of my lilac dress, and she was like guuurl you have a dress watchu doing?!?! And so with a heavy heart, I put it back on the rack and exited the shop in an even more sombre mood than before. 

Sat in the car in the carpark with mum for about half an hour and there were pigeons canoodling in front of us, on the roof of the building,and it was the most adorable thing ever!!! I THINK I STARTED TO SERIOUSLY SHIP THEM?!?! I SHIPPED PIGEONS WTF IS WRONG WITH ME. I don't know if you've ever seen pigeons kissing/mating/idk but they touch heads together and then they just swing their heads down and up down and up together!!! IT'S SO CUTE!!!!!!!!! And one of the pigeons was feeding the other one and after a while he kept doing the "peacocking" thing where he spread/stretched his wings!!! And then the girl pigeon did it as well and I was like lol wait don't males only do that oHMYGOD WHAT IF THEY'RE GAY PIGEONS OH YOU PRECIOUS CREATURES, BE FREE WITH YOUR SEXUALITY!!!!! which my mum found very entertaining hahaha. But after half an hour they finally flew away together which made me really sad because I felt that we had built a connection and they just left me without even a goodbye or a nod of recognition!! And I want to know the ending to their little romance!!! I bet they flew away to do the dirty in a private bush somewhere, those kinky voyeuristic motherfuckers!

Okay, well during all this pigeon watching (we were safely contained in the car and they were pretty far away so I wasn't afraid of them like I usually am) I was also having mini bursts of hormonal upset over the whole ball dress situation and had a pathetic little cry in the St Lukes carpark hahahaha. But okay, seriously, the dress I currently have was $154, then shipping was $20, and the tailor was $50, so the dress was $224. Then the shoes were $40, so everything altogether was $264. The dress in Forever New was $120 and the cute shoes there were $140, so that outfit would have been $260 WHAT IS GOING ON HOW DID I SPEND MORE BUT GET SHITTIER STUFF?!?!? I will say, however, that this has been a FANTASTIC learning experience. Do not google "cheap ball dresses" and expect to come up with good website results. And don't be so lazy that you do not actually try on any dresses in shops, instead venturing for the dress that you like online just because it's the best out of all the shitty ones you find off cheapdressesnz.com or whatever. For future reference.

Oh it gets worse and more mopey btw. So I came home and after bugging my brother and mum complaining about how shit my dress was, my brother said he'd buy it for me as my birthday present if I could sell my current dress. So I was like, sweet, I'll put the dress on and take photos of it and sell it on Ball Essentials walk in wardrobe on facebook! So I took photos... and my god it was horrible. It made me so depressed. All photos in that dress are horrendous. I don't even want to talk about it. I had to actually photoshop my frumpiness away in the photos for fucks sake. I mean, a huge part of a ball is taking photos, and if your ball dress looks disastrous in photos, then, really, what's the point.

UGH ok it all sounds really pathetic and I know it sounds pathetic but it's been conditioned into me that your ball is supposed to be this one magical night where everyone looks great and glamorous and I BLAME SOCIETY (can I blame society?). I mean, there are people dying and I am here whining over a frumpy dress like the world's ending.

After a more-than-one-hour-long phone call to Sueyeon that started off with me ranting to her about ball dress stuff and hearing myself and realising how dumb I sounded, (and ended with me facebook stalking all her guy friends) I went down to do my lunch and my mum was like "yo I'll buy you the black dress, and you can just take your time trying to sell your other one" and I was like "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" 

So yeah, she's going to go get it tomorrow while I'm at school because I have choir until 6:30 and we're worried if we wait to long, they'll sell out of it (there was only one in my size left). I LOVE HER OMG I FEEL LIKE I DEFINITELY DON'T DESERVE IT ESPECIALLY WITH MY TERRIBLE ATTITUDE TOWARDS IT ALL BUT OMG I'M SO HAPPY!?!? This may be premature because there is still the possibility of her going tomorrow and it being all sold out! To which my mum says would be a sign from a higher power that it just wasn't meant to be. I do have to make a sacrifice and not do swimming lessons this term (they're $170) but that's okay, I can still swim in the pool, just without the lessons. Won't count for CAS though, hahahha.

2. My second point of happiness was the pigeon cannoodling situation which I already described up there^. IT WARMED MY SAD LITTLE HEART OKAY. They're my OTP <3

3. Human interaction???

I enjoyed bugging my brother today since I was in a really weird mood and I started crying (jokingly but with real tears) at the prospect of him and his girlfriend breaking up hahahaha. AND I ALWAYS LIKE CALLING SUEYEON!!! Didn't get any homework done though because of it hahaha. SHE CALLED HER BROTHER A DICK AND I NEARLY SCREAMED BECAUSE SHE NEVER SWEARS BUT SHE SAYS IT'S NOT A SWEAR WORD BUT DICK IS DEFINITELY A CRUDE CUSS DONT U AGREE?!?!?! Also omg she's so strange when she's with her cat I love it, she gets all cutesy baby-voice-ish with him all the whilst repeating cheerfully/nonchalantly how he's going to die soon because he's so old?!?!?!?! SOUNDS RATHER "NOBORU-SKINNING-THE-CAT" TO ME....



4. EXTRA HAPPINESS: I GOT 29/30 FOR MY IOP FOR ENGLISH!!!! OH MYGODDDDDDDDDDDD SO STOKED!!!!!!!!! One point off for presentation which is fair enough!! This is half of what will be 15% of my overall english grade so I'm really glad I did well in it!

Hi tihis was for yesterday i'm trying to do this really fast because i still need to do practice papers for tomorrows bio test and it's AFTER MIDNIGHT (take a shot)

1. got 2 french writings done (they take me an eternity each to write) i actually really enjoy writing french even though half of it is written by google translate but the thing is is that it takes me so long so i always put off french homework. oh god french now is like the equivalent of last year's art -____-

3. im sure it was a good day i just recall myself at my desk all day doing holiday homework?? i watched an episode of himym at lunch whilst i ate a really good bagel?! idk man whenever food has more than 2 types of meat in it, it's deemed good in my eyes. that one had roast chicken, roast beef, and salami mmmm i would make such a good wife (OOPS SEXIST JOKE i should be ashamed)

1.First day of school! lots of hugging in the morning which was nice. omg french exchange students just make my life UGH WHEN THEY SPEAK WITH THEIR FRENCH ACCENTS OHMYGOD IT'S LIKE MUSCIC TO MY EARS?!?!?!?!?

2. souvenirs from friend who went to the school trips! jade got me hilarious penis pasta from venice (seriously, pasta shaped like little penises, I'M PLANNING ON SERVING IT WITH SOME SORT OF WHITE CREAM SAUCE and just eat all the evidence so my parents dont come across it and be like wtf vicky r u eating dick) and cherry and nee got me a very pretty bracelet with glass beads from some sort of glass jewelry shop in venice. meilin apparently spent $100 nzd on chocolate in poland because she had exchanged too much polish money and needed to use it up hahaha so that's what we're all getting from her.

3. OH SPEAKING OF MEILIN ON HER HISTORY TRIP: at a mall/streetcorner/something in russia there were people handing out free vodka shots and coffee shots and she had ONE VODKA SHOT and she was out like a light and drunk as a bum omg i nearly peed from laughing when i heard oh bless <3 apparently the teachers took a photo of her as she was stumbling around drunk on the sidewalks of russia, i cant wait to see it in the college magazine!!!j ust kidding]

1. I had planned to start bio revision at 2pm today and it was 1:45pm and I was like hmm maybe I should try some ball eye make up for 15mins! .... This lasted until 4pm.... and then I went out grocery shopping sigh. So I didn't get any bio study done. But look I camwhored a lot because of the make up, here, looksee:

False eyelashes are such a bitch holy fucking shit I think if I wear them at the ball I'll only wear a small piece at the outer corner of my eyes because a whole strip gets in the way of my goddamn vision!!!!!

My lips here is a blend of a light pink lipstick, a BRIGHT red lipstick, a black lipstick, and the Anna Sui lip balm that Joey got me ages ago. Oh if you're wondering why I have a black lipstick, my mum got it made for me when she was still working as a QC at Shiseido's factory. It was for my halloween witch costume <3 too bad I didn't have a goth phase, right?

2. House Rules is pretty entertaining. I was watching it while eating lunch (breakfast) today. Why do I keep enjoying dumb reality tv shows what the fuckkkkk

3. Grocery shopping basically entailed me berating my mum (which is fun) as she walked around with her eyes glued on her phone I FEEL LIKE THIS IS SOME FREAKY FRIDAY SHIT!!!! I BECAME THIS CLOSE FROM CONFISCATING HER PHONE!!!! 

Guess whose last day of holidays is tomorrow and still has to do all her french and history homework and bio studyyyyy???? MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YAY IM SO EXCITEDDDDD

bad late night tv that is surprisingly good

1. Got a haircut! And managed to get a bit of Gatsby read while I was waiting there! Hair looks long and normal when it's down, but when it's tied up it looks crazy short! Think I might wear it in a bun for a couple weeks until it grows out a bit. Need to start looking for pics of updos that I can take to the hairdresser for the ball!

2. Finished all of chem and maths and sorted out what I'm actually doing for English interactive oral (i didn't even know my topic omg). Got my french vocab list done. Studied a little Bio. Still haven't done any of the actual French writings nor my History plan!! And according to the other chem class, our class has a test on Thursday?! WHAT!!?!!?

3. This is shameful but I watched a whole episode of the Bachelor Pad on TV tonight and I got really into it. I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY VOTED JAKE OFF INSTEAD OF KASEY UGHHHHHHHH. Props to the editors for making it pretty intense at the end. I'm really disgusted in myself hahahah. I'm so tempted to google who wins at the end... EVERYONE ON THE SHOW IS SO UNLIKEABLE EXCEPT FOR LIKE, TWO PEOPLE!?!? What have I become omg







I'm still feeling pretty shit over my ball dress tbh. I kind of want to find an older friend who I can borrow a dress from, and asked Sueyeon's sister but her dress is too small. Sigh. It's really pretty pointless spending so much time bothered over it since it's only for one night. Otherwise I'm pretty excited for the ball??? It's coming up pretty soon!! Only three weeks left....

Also I'm getting really confident at driving insomuch as I want to go try out for my restricted soon... maybe? (SORRY I'M TRYING TO WORK "INSOMUCH AS" AS MUCH INTO MY VOCAB AS POSSIBLE)

It's been nearly 2 months of daily blogging from me! I think it's going rather well!!! YAY!!!

1. I need to stop buying clothes!!!!!!!

My mum went to Kmart to get a lamp thingy and I tagged along and checked out the clothes section and I mean, I very rarely ever go to Kmart but holy mother of shit is the stuff there cheap!!! I NEVER KNEW THE STUFF THERE WAS SO CHEAP WTF? I got some 3 pairs of cute undies for $10 which is a fucking ridiculous bargain and then did a little dance when I saw there were those same hoodie jackets they sell in cotton on for $25!! Except these ones were $14??? Scooooorrreeeeee!!! You can't even tell they're any different to the cotton on ones! In fact, I think they might be better than the ones at cotton on because those ones have a strange scratchy not-very-warm white criss-cross inner lining, and the ones I bought are more fleecy and comfortable. Sure, I may be losing a bit of street cred for wearing Kmart shit bUT WHO CARES OMG IT WAS A FUCKING BARGAIN I WIN I'M HAPPY I AM A SMART SHOPPER SUCK IT ALL Y'ALL HOMIES WHO ARE WILLING TO PAY $60 FOR A PLAIN WHITE TSHIRT DESIGNED BY KANYE WEST WHO'S LAUGHING NOW JUST GO TO KMART FOR FUCKS SAKE

Oh, also, I went and exchanged the grey sweatpants I got yesterday with Sueyeon for the neon highlighter orange ones because I'm just a neon highlighter orange kind of person, ya know? SHIT I STILL DON'T KNOW IF THAT WAS THE RIGHT COLOUR TBH there are no winners in this game i'm too indecisive for shopping IT'S JUST NOT FAIR

2. My dad has now joined QQ with my mum and all their college buddies and basically my parents have become teenagers who stay in their bed all day with their phones in their faces... what has the world come to!?!??! It's nice seeing them happy and hearing them laugh so much though :)

And I think my parents finally understand how I can always get so distracted talking to friends on facebook and stuff because they're experiencing it firsthand now!

3. Planned to do Maths, Chem, English Interactive Oral, History Plan, One French Writing, and 90 minutes of Bio study today. Ended up doing just Chem.

Wow okay I just realised the date and now I'm in a bit of shock at how fast the year has gone by!!!! Where is my life going omg someone stop the train i want to get off it heeeeeeeeeelp

This shall be a mixture of yesterday and today because I am too lazy to write separate posts oops. I'm going to try something new with the three things in this post and I'll see if I like it better to what I had been doing prior to this.

1. City

Yesterday Sueyeon came over to mine for our quarterly sleepover! We went into town to watch Monsters University and to get my birthday present. Josh texted beforehand and said that he needed to go into Hallensteins and exchange his suit for one in a bigger size, so I invited him along as well. Josh got on the wrong bus so he came pretty late around after 1, and the movie was at 1:30. Monsters University was really good!!! There was a part where I got kind of annoyed that it was so cheesy and unrealistic and I thought that it had ended but then PLOT TWIST and I was kinda glad they didn't make it all so easy lol. Good ol' pixar never faileth. The cinema was pretty packed and we were seated right up the front so I wanted to move somewhere to the back but there wasn't any room. Despite the initial neck-craning discomfort, it wasn't too bad. I love the short films before pixar movies!!! They're so fantastic uvu

After the movie we went to hallensteins to help Josh with his suit picking and boy do I not understand suits at all!!! THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME TO ME! You know that scene in Devil Wears Prada where Miranda holds up two almost identical blue belts and says they're so different, and Andie scoffs? Yeah, that was me in there. There were some hot shop assistants/customers and Sueyeon and I were just perving on people while Josh took a fucking eternity trying on his two suits. No I swear he was in there for half an hour at a time, I thought he was growing an ant colony in there or something, my god. Lol when we went to the counter to pay, the sales assistant dude was making nice conversation with us and asked us if we just got off university and we were like "nope we're in high school"!!!!! YAAAAAAAY I GOT MISTAKEN FOR A UNIVERSITY STUDENT HAW HAW IN YOUR FACE,WOMAN-WHO-MISTOOK-ME-FOR-A-THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD-IN-FARMERS!!!!!!! Proudest moment of the year tbh :')

Sueyeon and Josh got some sushi and then we went to Cotton On so that Sueyeon could get me some sweatpants for my birthday. Except I spent waaay too long trying on different coloured ones and ended up just buying grey ones lol. I kinda wish I went with something more eyecatching and fun, like bright orange or something but oh well. These have a fluro yellow stripe running down the side so I guess it's not toooo mundane? Joanna and Ling were in city and came to cotton on to say hi, and Joanna attacked Sueyeon once again (sigh).

We parted ways and Sueyeon and I headed back to my house on the bus.

2. Night antics

I can't specifically remember in what order we did things, but we watched the first episode of season 3 Game of Thrones because Sueyeon hadn't seen it yet, and it was part of the deal that if I watched a Doctor Who episode, she would watch 3x01 of GoT. After that we watched the Blink ep of DW and it was pretty good! And scarier than I expected it to be but still not as scary as some Supernatural episodes haha. I probably still won't continue with DW though. Carey Mulligan is so flawless I love her!

SUEYEON SHOWED ME HER SCRAPBOOK BFF NOTEBOOK OMG IT IS THE CUTEST THING EVER!!! SHE HAD NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT UNTIL THAT MOMENT AND IT CONTAINS ALL THE BIRTHDAY INVITATIONS AND BIRTHDAY CARDS I GAVE HER, AND POLAROID SHOTS OF BDAY/XMAS PRESENTS I GOT HER, AND LITTLE CUTE MSGS CAPTIONING STUFF, OMG IT GOES TO ALL THE WAY WHEN WE WERE 9 YEARS OLD AND HAS MY "YOU'RE INVITED TO VICKY'S 10TH BIRTHDAY PARTY" DUMB PARTY INVITATIONS THAT I MADE ON MICROSOFT WORD OMG IT'S SO PRECIOUS AND SHE STUCK IN THE PRINTED OUT LYRICS OF THE TWO SONGS I WROTE FOR HER FOR HER BIRTHDAYS. One was for her 11th birthday I think, and the other was for her 14th, and I still remembered the tune to the 11th birthday one (after some reminders from the ever talented singing of Sueyeon) even though it was SIX YEARS AGO!!! omg the book was soooo cute ok I WAS SO FUCKING MOVED!!!! There were letters I sent to her from Kahunui and I did a dramatic reading of it and in it I was talking about peeing in the river with my house mates (lol I know right) and I got distracted and started telling her all the grossly hilarious toilet related adventures I had at Kahu and she was fucking pissing herself laughing (irony) to the point where she was just silently wheezing and even semi puked a little hahahahaa (well, digested food started moving back up her oesophagus, but im gonna say it counts as puking) and i was just laughing at her bcs tHATS WHAT GOOD FRIENDS DO!!!!!!!!

My family friend (the one who might be doing my ball make up) brought her curling rod today to my house, so Sueyeon and I decided to curl our hair and check it out. This felt very much like a stereotypical slumber-party thing to do hahaha. I did Sueyeon's, even though her hair is already naturally kind of curly, and she just said it looked like her bed hair. I tried it on myself and it didn't look particularly good either so I don't think I'll curl my hair for the ball... But it was fun to do! We had a nice DMC and read my diaries from when I was 10 years old lol.

Watched the Mystery Spot episode of Supernatural with Sueyeon because I told her it was funny, except I forgot that the ending gets super depressing, and she got all sleepy because she didn't know what was going on. 3. Late night antics

OK so I think this might be one of those "you had to be there" incidents which I found fucking hilarious, but my retelling of it will sound really lame. Well, we both drank V at like, 10pm and caffeine is evidently very effective on me but Sueyeon was knackered and just wanted to sleep. It started out innocently enough - it was like, 1am and I was showing her some songs off my phone seeing if she liked them (she has a very picky music taste). Sueyeon was ready to sleep but I wouldn't stop playing music and kept putting it near her ear and generally being an annoying shit, and all through this I was basically like RIGHT NEXT TO HER FACE and she was so tired that she would fall asleep for 2 second durations and I kept waking her up with "IS THIS A GOOD SONG??!?", and "DO YOU LIKE IT" and omg it sounds so not even funny but it was fucking hilarious because she would wake up after seconds and have this moment of realisation that she was awake and that I was leaning over her with my phone playing some sort of indie-band song and she'd just GROAN and I was filled with some sort of sick pleasure in torturing her and DUDE I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD I WAS LITERALLY GASPING FOR BREATH I WAS FUCKING WHEEZING IT WAS THE FUNNIEST SHIT OF MY LIFE!!! I thought that we could've done an experiment with me playing different genres of music as she was asleep and waking her up to see what she dreamed of and if it was affected by the music but she couldn't fall asleep anymore because I had fucked with her until she was wide awake haahahhaahaaaaaaa. Before that, she had a nightmare in one of her brief stints of sleep where I was just standing over her holding my cellphone at her so she was basically dreaming of her nightmarish reality. In order to calm us down she told me to play an episode of Game of Thrones which I was totally okay with doing!!! And then we slept. At 4:30am. I literally spent 2 and a half hours from 1am to 3:30am just playing snippets of songs and annoying her omg I love sleepovers <3




extra #4: aaaaaaand then today we woke up at 1pm and made breakfast and watched 3 episodes of GoT and one episode of SPN (muahahhhaha) and did nothing until she left at 6pm.

extra #5: my period had been 10 days late and I was worried it was going to come randomly during the night in our sleepover bUT IT JUST CAME AN HOUR AGO AND I FELT IT AND MANAGED TO GET TO IT IN TIME BEFORE IT CREATED A DISASTER!!! I AM SO PROUD OF MY CUNNING ABILITY TO OUTSMART MY UTERUS HAAA BOOM MOTHERFUCKER I AM THE MASTER OF MY OWN BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry for the tmi lol

Honestly I've really fallen into some terrible habits these holidays! School is looming on the horizon and I have done absolutely no holiday homework... THIS IS GOING TO BE A NIGHTMARE.

No post tomorrow because Sueyeon is sleeping over! Yay!! She's going to make me watch the Doctor Who Blink episode BUT I REFUSE TO GET SUCKED INTO THE DOCTOR WHO FANDOM!!!!!!!!!

1. EYEBROWS!

I got my eyebrows done from that $5 place at St Lukes!! It didn't hurt at all omg I don't understand why people find waxing so painful!! It was quick and easy and now my face looks slightly more neat! SO HAPPY!!! You should've seen me when I was driving the car on the way home lol I was singing "one more step along the world I go" for some odd reason and I kept screaming "I HAVE EYEBROWSSSSSSSS" and my mum concluded that I'm a lunatic. I can't believe it took me this freaking long to get my eyebrows sorted out jfc what was wrong with me?! IT''S SO EASY!!!!!

2. Valleygirlin'

Went back to Valleygirl and got that cardigan! Also printed off my updated cv beforehand and gave it in since they have a job vacancy there! It was slightly awkward though because my mum was buying me the cardigan (since I have no money because I have no income which is why I NEED THE JOB) but I didn't want to seem immature or dependent so I got her to give me the money before the store so I could pay for myself hahaha. But as I was paying for the cardigan my mum was calling me over to the front of the store and I was like, awkwardly trying to talk myself up to the sales assistant who was holding my CV and was asking me about my availability and stuff ("are you able to work thursday and friday nights?" "YEAH TOTALLY....(oh shit...)") but had to stop and pause my purchase to go see what my mum was saying. She wanted to show me another cardigan and told me to try it on -_____- it wasn't that great lol. So I ended up buying my aforementioned cardigan and as I was walking out I saw another brownish dark-caramel coloured $35 cardigan that was really nice and I had a pathetic struggle over whether I wanted to return my previous buy and then get this other cardigan... But I didn't want to leave a last impression of me being indecisive and a hassle!!! But now I still haven't taken the tags off my cardigan because I don't know if I want to go back and exchange it or not UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what do I doooo this is dumb i'm dumb i'm sorry

3. Comic Con finishes

FUCK ME I LOVE SUPERNATURAL SO FUCKING MUCH SOMEONE GO AND FUCKING KILL ME I CAN'T TAKE THIS SHOW I CAN'T TAKE THIS CAST I CAN'T TAKE ITS EVERYTHING ANY LONGER!!!!!!!!! Today was the supernatural panel and the jensen and jared panel at nerd hq, and I haven't watched all of the supernatural panel yet but I've seen the nerd hq panel, and once again, the nerd hq panel is soooo much more interesting!!! Bless Zach Levi for it tbh. 

ALSO, A VIDEO OF THE SEASON 8 GAG REEL WAS (UNLAWFULLY) FILMED AND UPLOADED HALLELUJAH!!!!!!! So many destiel/cockles moments i want to cryyyyyyyy it was so gloriousssss!! Really short this year though!!! Only 4minutes compared to the usual 8 minute gag reels!! What!!!!!!!! Although, it was super quality!

Had a lovely, busy day!!

1. Let's go to the maaaaall

So, Joanna, Cerys, Cerys's french exchange student Mathilde, and I went to St Lukes today. Joey and I both had Bobbi Brown make up tutorial appointments - hers was at 1pm and mine was at 3pm. We met up at 12pm and for the first time in a LONG TIME I wasn't actually late to something!!! Thing was - they were! It was really great hanging out with them, and really chilled out as well. We had lunch, and I finally got some indian food (which I've been craving for MONTHS, I TELL YOU) except it wasn't very ~*~fragrant*~*~ and a smidge too flavourless so my craving has yet to be satisfied, sigh. After Joey's appointment we continued to shop around for a while, and Cerys got some really cool loud pants, and Mathilde got a shitload of clothes. She was definitely pretty bored for the first two hours until she actually started buying things, and then she seemed to be a lot more lively, haha. Buying clothes produces endorphins, I swear. Someone go scientifically prove it or something.

When we went to starbucks, the barista there started chatting up Mathilde and asking her about where she was from, etc. He wasn't particularly good looking, but we started thinking of scenarios where the barista guy could've given his number to her on her ordered drink (which I'm sure happens to people). Apparently, when Mathilde was with her friend in London, they were in Starbucks and the guy there wrote on the drink to her friend "the most beautiful girl" or something, and I JUST ADJF;LSKJDFLKAJSDFSKNDFSDF if you have ever heard of a coffeeshop au THIS IS A COFFEESHOP AU AND THIS IS WHAT I WANT MY LIFE TO BECOME I WANT THIS TO BE HOW I MEET MY FUTURE SOULMATE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I saw a cute cardigan from Valleygirl that was only $20 so I think I might get it when I go back. There was a job vacancy there as well, so when I go I'll hand in my CV too. I'd fuckin love to work at valleygirl omg!! Cerys showed me some real cute shorts in factorie that I might try to get a discount from through my brother's girlfriend's sister who is the regional manager of the brand but that probably won't happen lol - will ask him tomorrow though. While we were at factorie, Mathilde was perving at some hot guy through the crack in the changing room door (HOW FUCKING CREEPY, RIGHT HAHAHAHA) and she was doing it really inconspicuously, like, looking sidways inside. Joanna noticed and tried to look in as well, except she did it SUPER OSTENTATIOUSLY and totally leaned in against the door crack and then the guy's dad came to give him a shirt and saw Joanna ahahahhahahha. AND LATER WE SAW THE GUY AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME WITHOUT HIS FAMILY, AND JOEY AND MATHILDE LITERALLY FOLLOWED HIM (and Cerys and I were following them) TO THE OPPOSITE FUCKING SIDE OF THE MALL but then they lost him - probably because he was trying to run away from the two crazy girls stalking him!!!!!!! He wasn't even super hot omg.

There is a new-ish beauty salon in St Lukes and they do $5 eyebrow waxing/threading so Cerys and I are keen to go fix up our monster brows there soon. Except it's so cheap that it's slightly worrisome - has anyone reading this post ever been to that place and would reccommend it? It's beside the one two three dollar store, and when you turn the corner it's glassons + strandbags. No idea what the actual place is called though :(  Oh, and the boy adventures don't end here! When we were outside the store they were closing shop and as they were moving their big sign inside they revealed this guy previously sitting behind the sign. According to Joanna, this was done very dramatically, so that it almost seemed like they were showcasing the guy, and Joey and Mat looked at him and then simultaneously looked at each other and started pissing themselves omg. The guy was pretty hot, but he was wearing jandals so I was INSTANTLY put off. Who knew I found jandals a turn off? Not me. They're okay in summer on the beach or whatever. Not in winter in a mall though -_____- at least, not to me.

2. Un rendez-vous avec Bobbi

So, Joey went first, and she did a brown smokey eye which didn't really show up that strongly against her skin, so I decided to go for more dramatic eyeshadow. TBH it seems pretty straightforward to do - in fact, I came home, removed one eye's makeup, and copied it with my eyeshadows, and told my brother and my mum to guess which eye I did and say which eye looked better. They both guessed the correct eye, but said that the one I did looked better (but who knows if they were lying just to make me feel good about myself haha). 

3. Comic Con

Okay, I was out all day, and I come home to find SO MUCH SHIT THAT HAD HAPPENED IN MY FANDOMS OH MY GOD DON'T JUDGE ME, COMIC CON IS A BIG WEEKEND FOR FANGIRLS LIKE ME OKAY!!!!?!?!?!?!?!

Catching Fire trailer took me SOOOOOOOOO long to find a link for!!! The one on yahoo movies doesn't work and it's not on youtube. Eventually I found this link thank god! Go watch it, I got shivers and goosebumps at so many moments!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!

1. Ronald McDonald House Part Deux

So today we did painting and arts and crafts and I was totally looking forward to getting my creative juices flowing... until I realised that all my creative juices have been sucked dry and I am merely a withered shell of the person I was once before. Woah that got morbid fast, I'm jUST KIDDING!!! Yeah, I was there with the kids with a black piece of paper in front of me and some shitty acrylic paints and I basically had absolutely no idea what I was going to do and ended up painting circles and lines and shit wtf is wrong with me omg the epidemic of adulthood is seeping into my freakin PORES and I'm defenceless against it!!!

We made some paper flowers with tissue paper and pipe cleaners and I'm not gonna lie, my flowers were pretty freakin bad ass I'm just sayin.

2. Shoes

I BOUGHT MY BALL SHOES YAAAY!!!!!!!! They were $40 from Hannahs, discounted from $80 so I think it was a total steal!! While we were there, that thing happened where you're exposed to lots of different products that are way out of your desired price range but then one of them is a little less expensive than the rest of all the expensive things, so you start considering buying it and all your sense is knocked out of you. This happened with a pair of shoes that were $150 and not even that great and we were THIS close from buying it before I was like wAIT THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED WHAT AM I DOING and I got these shoes instead :)

I can walk in them a lot better compared to some of the other shoes I was trying on. I was hoping to have a thicker heel but I guess this will be okay! I'll just be hanging off Josh for dear life...

3. Mallin'

While I was at St Lukes I figured that I could just book an appointment with Bobbi Brown to get them to do a free "smokey eye tutorial" on me so that I could do it myself later for the ball, and so I'm going on Sunday, and I booked an appointment for Joey as well before me so we can hang out in between since it seemed a it redundant to go to St Lukes for 20 minutes alone and then just leave again. 

While I was there, I saw some cute lace up boots that were discounted from $100 to $35 and I wanted them so bad but they didn't come in my size and I was heartbroken :(

WHOOPS forgot to post last night!! Watch as I struggle to remember what happened yesterday...

1. Went to Billies for a cooking lesson and made lemon curd meringue cupcakes and they were delicious! Ate them whilst watching Pitch Perfect.

I tried to mix some food colouring to make purple cupcakes but the results were not... very aesthetically pleasing....

2. Met Billie's french exchange student, Pauline! She is so french it hurts omg she met us (me and joey) and gave us both little air kisses on both cheeks and I was like oH SHIT U PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO DO THAT SINCE I'M SICK BUT OKAY GO AHEAD AND INFECT YOURSELF BONJOUR. We got Pauline to teach us French swear words and we taught her English ones. VA TE FAIRE ENCULER, PUTAIN! Dudes... she's half french, half russian. So she's fluent in French, Russian, pretty fluent in English, and does Latin at school as well. I JUST O______o

3. Got comfy with my blanket in the living room and watched Supernatural on TV... it's the little things in life :3

Doing this super early (BEFORE 10PM WHAT?) because I'm feeling like I'm getting the first signs of a cold and I think I might have an early night and sleep 15 hours or something?

1. Ronald McDonald House

Today I went to my first of two sessions at Ronald McDonald House doing the holiday programme thingy!! For those of you who don't know, Ronald McDonald House Okay, so I got dropped off at Starship Hospital because I assumed that the house would be like, a block off the side of the hospital or something, but the RMH is a totally separate building!! I asked a woman at Starship for some help and she drew me a map and gave me directions to go "straight and then left and then straight", but due to my shitty orientation skills, I walked straight way too long and ended up in the goddamn oncology centre. From there, I had to do a loop backwards, where I saw some kids outside a building but it turned out that was just a child services place, and then their parents pointed me to the NEXT building up some stairs, and alas i finally found the building and my journey had reached its end tHANK GOD

Yeah, so I arrived 10 minutes late and I'm pretty sure Ms W is quite used to seeing me late to things (she's in charge of absences and lates at school). And we were making CUPCAKES YAY!1!!!!!11!!1! I'm terrible at baking but we didn't really have to do anything except for stand there and provide encouragement for the kids "YEAH YOU SCOOP THAT CUPCAKE MIXTURE INTO THE TRAY YEAH GOOD JOB YOU'RE FANTASTIC AT THIS WOW GO U HERES A PRIZE FOR BEING AWESOME" (not really)

It was mostly pretty quiet in the beginning but that was just because the kids were shy. I hope Thursday's session will be more lively now that they've warmed up to us a bit! I made a lady bug icing thingy but all that moulding of food made the cupcakes very unappetizing and none of us volunteers ate any hahahaha.

THERE WAS THE CUTEST LITTLE FOUR YEAR OLD GIRL WITH US OMG ok so she was too little to reach anything in the kitchen and she wanted to wash her hands bcs they had gotten all mucky due to the icing and so she was just standing against the bench trying to reach the soap dispenser and i saw her and i was like hERE LET ME HELP and i got there and was like 'wait wtf am i supposed to do... do i pump some soap onto my hand and then transfer it onto her hand or something what' and abi was like 'LIFT HER' and i was like OHHHHHHH and then i lifted her and she did one of those adorable little kid giggles and was trying to grab some soap and she got some and i let her down again and then she went to reach the tap but obviously couldnt and i was like omg (✿◠‿◠) I WILL LIFT U AGAIN asdkfjksdfd.fnasd;fkalsdlkfasdf so cute omg i cant deal!!! AND THEN SHE WAS SITTING AT THE TABLE AND ALL THE OTHER KIDS HAD GONE TO EAT IN THEIR ROOMS OR SOMETHING BCS THEY WERE OLDER and she was just sitting there alone with her two cupcakes and watching us clean up and once we were finished she asked (very incoherently and quietly) if we would eat with her and we were like KNADKLFJ;LSDF OF COURSE SUGAR PLUM BABY CUTIE PIE and the 5 of us just sat around her as she devoured her cupcake and made a mess on her face GUH and then she said she wanted to play so a few of us went with her to the little play area and I ended up going with her on one of those plastic boat rocky things that are kind of like seesaws and was rocking on it whilst talking to Mrs W about H4H hahahahaha

2. NEXT TOP FUCKIN MODEL

I realised after doing the SAT app last night that I have NO PHOTOS OF ME APPROPRIATE FOR APPLICATIONS ie all my photos have me smiling in my big :D face or doing the peace sign or inappropriately stroking statues etc etc. So I put on some make up and did a little photoshoot hahahaha don't judge me shhh it was a necessary action okAY I TOOK INITIATIVE!! My mum walked in on me and I made her be my Patrick Demarchelier and take photos for me and YAY NOW I HAVE PHOTOS FOR THINGS

3. Furniture Shopping

Okay furniture shopping wasn't really exciting but I got to drive everywhere which was fun and hang out with my mum and YAY I THINK I FINALLY FOUND A LARGER BOOKSHELF FOR MY ROOM!!! I was going to go out with my dad in his larger car tmrw to go get it but Billie's holding a cooking class tmrw so I guess I'm going to that.

1. Mei's

Went to Mei's house today with Joey and Mei got me a belated birthday present of a really cute "ombre" nail polish pack. Joey tried to "ombre" my nails but her korean roots failed her and I am sorry to say but her dreams of going down the nail technician path are most likely not going to come true. Just kidding, they weren't that bad, but when I got home I took it off and just painted block colours. We watched some movies and ate all of Mei's food - well, Joey ate all of Mei's food, I kinda just nibbled here and there. Watched Contagion which had some intense colour filters through the film (A LOT OF GREEN) and made me feel rather germaphobic. Also watched some Jen Aniston/Paul Rudd film called Wanderlust which was... pretty.... bad.... but okayish mostly. Hanging out with friends made up for it though!!!!!!!!!

2. SAT

I finally got around to signing up for SATs and I'm going to do it on October the 5th which is in the T3 Holidays and like, before both T4 exams, which is good. I guess this means I'm going to have to start preparing...? And going to classes...? Christ. Oh man when I was trying to register online and it kept going through "technical difficulties" everytime I tried to choose the exam venue so I resorted to having them place me somewhere ;____; i s2g if they put me in goddamn wellington I will FLIP MY SHIT

Eh gonna make this short because there isn't anything to write about.

1. Slept for 10 hours or so and had some fucking weird dreams, one of which involved me buying weed off some guy and then he accidentally left his wallet at my house and in it was like, 20 baggies of weed and thousands of dollars and I had to hide it in my room until I could get it back to him and my mum was cleaning out my room and nearly found it and I had a mini heart attack in the dream.

2. Watched some shitty TV. In one of the cop shows the voice over narrator guy said "constables sam and dean" and I fLIPPED THE FUCK OUT WHAT KIND OF FUCKING RIDICULOUS COINCIDENCE IS IT THAT THE ONE TIME I WATCH THAT SHOW, THEY FEATURE TWO COPS WHO ARE PARTNERS AND WHO ARE NAMED SAM AND DEAN LIKE SAM AND DEAN WINCHESTER OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDD

3. Watched a bit of Scream 4 with my mum while stuffing our faces with food... at midnight.... er. DAMN PEOPLE IN HORROR MOVIES ARE DUUUUUUUUUMB. So frustrating to watch them get killed by their own stupidity.






Not a happy point so I won't include it in my 3 things, but wow, Cory Monteith is dead? That seriously came out of left field aye, I was so surprised when I heard it - on the 6pm news, of all places. I think we raise celebrities up to the standards of deities now, to the point where it seems so bizarre for them to die. I of course feel sorry for his friends and family, but I also feel really bad for the whole Glee fandom, the hundreds and thousands of fans who loved his work and his personality on screen. I can only imagine my own reaction to hearing news that, for example, Jensen died. I would be totally heartbroken and in total grief... Isn't it strange that we form such personal one-sided bonds to these celebrities who only know us in the masses?

A quick one for today, due to my inconvenient form of technology.

1. Weeerrrkkk owtttt

Actually did some exercise today! Whaaaat!!! Did zumba but my ps3s sound has stopped working and I didn't want to do the zumba out in my open living room where anyone could've walked in and saw me trying to shake my booty, so I just played the zumba DVD without audio and put on some workout music from my laptop hahahha. The moves and the audio didn't sync up at all so I found myself trying to do the zumba moves extra fast to the dance music which wouldve been pretty comical to watch imo

I also did like, 4 Tiffany Roth (sp?) YouTube workout videos incl two repeats of the boxer babe work out because I want to get nice arms for the baaalllll ugh

Exercising makes you want to eat and live healthier, don't u feel? I was like yEAH I'M GONNA STOP EATING JUNK FOOD AND WAKE UP EARLY FROM NOW ON SO I CAN KEEP FIT and then just an hour ago I ate Tim Tams and cookie dough ice cream eh gg

2. 1984

I read quite a bit today, incl the slightly too long bit of the book in part 2 where its like, textbook explanations about government policy for 30 or so pages.... I swear the same idea was repeated in different words at least 4 times!! I am now on part 3, yaaay!

Last night I had a dream that I and Cecilia applied for this extracurricular of which's description we had no idea about but they revealed that it was a writing position at seventeen magazine for tv/music/movie reviews and it was rEALLY COOL OK

Speaking of movie reviewing I never did reveal my response to American Beauty! I ended up watching it all in that one night and just watched the remaining half on my phone (i love technology these days). MY GOD IT WAS GOOD!!!! SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT I WAS EXPECTING! I thought it was just a story of a guy who had a thing for his daughter's friend but that plotline plays such a small part in the whole story imo. I really liked how everything ended and I loved all the obvious uses of red roses as a motif omg bless movie makers <3 seriously though I think I might put American Beauty up as one of my favourite films!!! Can't believe it took me that long to watch it. Pulp Fiction is next!

Unexciting day with hints of sadness that I will skew to be less sad, I guess?

1. Ball Dress Came!

FINALLY!!!!! The DHL guy called my cellphone before arriving which really surprised me!
The colour of the bottom part of the dress is nice, but the top bit caught me off guard. I expected the crystal stuff to be clear, which is why I chose lilac since it was a lighter colour. But the whole top bit has a lilac-coloured mesh and lilac crystals? I'd rather them to be how I pictured it, but eh, it looks alright I guess. A little tacky? But I have a neg view on shit like this.

I think I might get my ball dress made next year. I always thought it was more expensive to get it made, but the tailor I went to today said that he could've made my dress for $70?! WHAT!?

2. Stuck my Birthday Sticky notes on my wall!

Lol um ignore my puffa jacket there. It's really difficult to take a photo in that area! (It's the doorway.) IT WAS SUCH A PAIN TRYING TO WORK OUT HOW TO ALTERNATE THE DIFFERENT COLOURS!!! 

3. Music Update

I just downloaded like 30 songs and now my brain hurts (from concentration? A side effect of illegal activity? Who knows...) Needed to update my itunes/phone since I only ever listen to spotify now and have stopped downloading music. See, spotify stops piracy! To an extent...

Getting Naked and Watching Nickelodeon

My mum's confiscating my laptop at 11pm tonight because she caught me up at 2am last night FUCKIN HELL so I have no choice but to write this before midnight.

I'm watching American Beauty atm and I have to stop halfway ughhh (everyone in the movie is fUCKING CRAZY and I feel really bad for crushing on Ricky and having him as my favourite character atm because he's a creepy drug dealer guy who films people, but I don't feel that bad because, I mean, it's a young, sensitive, highly intellectual Wes Bentley, so....)

1. Social Enterprise Meet Up

We've decided on what we're doing! Maybe! It's still quite broad and we may run into a bit of difficulty trying to show how we'd implement it, but at least there's something. I don't think I'll post what it is just in case other people doing Social Enterprise read this (unlikely, but possible).

2. Swimming but Not Really

Was supposed to go swimming today but at around 4:30 my mum forced acupuncture on me and needed me to lie down for it which then meant I fell asleep and she woke me up at 6:15 which is what time I should be LEAVING the house to go to swimming since swimming is at 6:30 but I woke up feeling dreary and didn't want to go swimming and thus ensued a very conflicted confused 15 minute period where I knew I should go swimming albeit be late but also had absolutely no physical desire to get out of bed and exercise. And so it became 6:30 and I was just like FUCK IT and didn't go.

It was funny though. Neighbours were probably worried about the amount of screaming going on.

Have you guys heard of this game? I hadn't until tonight! It's freaking hilarious. Basically you, and other players each have a hand of cards, all of which are very random/dirty/funny and then each of you fill in the blanks to a sentence that is dealt and you try to make the funniest one and everyone takes turns in choosing the "best" sentence.

I played with Samai and Sophie and two of Samai's friends, who then left, so we invited Jo and Nadia, and Nadia left, and two of Samai's other friends joined.

2. Braces

Seeing the positive side of my trip to the orthodontists today. The ortho who was working on me (YJ's bf's mum!) asked if I wanted the same colour elastics as before (blue) and I was like yeah sure whatevs since it doesn't really matter, and she was putting it on and got to the third bracket and I suddenly remembered the ball and that the blue elastics would probably stand out a lot, and I was like "wAIT is it too late to change the colour?". So now they're violet and they match my ball dress (WHICH STILL IS IN PROCESSING UGHHH I wrote a complaint letter)

3. Mild Productivity

I finished the Chem homework that I had slacked off on during the term, finally. Then I realised that Ms C gave us holiday homework in an email. GODDAMMIT

Did a little brainstorming for Social Enterprise but came up with pretty pathetic uninspired ideas. If you guys have any knowledge on possible issues around Auckland that we could somehow solve practically, hit me up. Or outside of auckland, or anything around Oceania. For example, last year's winners were a group who aimed to help eliminate child hunger/obesity by going to low-decile primary schools and teaching the yr3s and 4s how to make cheap, healthy lunches in little workshops, and they gave every kid a free lunchbox and drink bottle bcs they were sponsored by sistema. Simple but effective things like that! Or any big problems that aren't too broad could help inspire us too! COMMENT WHATEVER!

I didn't get around to watching American Beauty because somehow 9pm became 10pm (decided I needed a new tumblr icon and made 3) (which one do you like best?)

Then 10pm became 11pm (started watching SPN on tv), then 11pm became 12am (tumblr) and then 12am ecame 1am (fb chat)... I WILL WATCH IT TOMORROW!!!! And then after that I will watch pULP FICTION!! AND SCHINDLER'S LIST???? AND UH, OTHER MUST-SEE MOVIES, PLS COMMENT SUGGESTIONS!

I'm working on a short story that I feel is very murakami-esque. Uh I already somewhat figured out symbolisms oh sweet jesus what have I become?!?!?? To be fair, I thought up all the ~*~motifs*~* one night (weeks ago) when I was trying to fall asleep. So it's not like it was that intentional. But it was a while ago and I feel like I've lost some of the inspiration I had that night and the days following it. Damn.

1. Hannibal the Cannibal

Woke up and felt as if the day was going to be very uneventful and boring, so invited some people over to start marathoning Hannibal with the hopes that someone would be free. Sophie ended up coming over and we made some nasty ass nachos (I didn't realise it was even possible to screw up nachos) and ate way too much junk food. Hannibal is pretty good! Not into it to the extent where I'd join the fandom and obsess over it, but knowing me it's never unlikely. We watched 5 of the 10 episodes. I can barely understand anything Hannibal actually says though???

2. Fambam

Had a very amusing dinner. According to my brother, I'm super diplomatic/cunning/manipulative...?? But... in a good way? The reason he thinks this is because he gave me a bag of bitesized squiggles and I wanted his bag of bitesized toffee pops and he wouldn't give me any. Then after a while, I went into his room and offered him a squiggle OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART and he looked and me and was like "you're so diplomatic" and gave me a toffee pop because he felt obliged to. I think he's confused "diplomatic" with "cunning" though, haha. I WAS JUST FEELING ALTRUISTIC OKAY GOSH THERE WERE NO ULTERIOR MOTIVES BEHIND MY OFFERING YOU A SQUIGGLE BROTHER! 

I actually feel like I do not have the mental capability of purposefully manipulating people??? Like, I feel like there's probably a lot of planning and forward-thinking for that sort of extracurricular, and those are just traits that I do not currently hold in my possession ja feel.  I'd love to be able to manipulate people - don't judge me, it seems like a very handy skill to have - but... how?????? 

Apparently one time Amy (brother's girlfriend) and my brother were at dressmart glassons, and she was picking things out of the $10 rack and went to the counter, where the cashier told her the top was actually $20, and she was like uh okay. Before she paid for it though, my brother was being a freakin comedic genius (sarcasm) pretending to try on a sequinned dress or something, and this made the cashier laugh and she was like "oh, he's funny. You know what, you guys can buy anything you want there for $10!" WHAAAAAAAAAAAT I need to go shopping with my evidently very charismatic brother. Shit I want to be as charming as that :'( WHERE DID MY CHARISMA GENES GO, HUH PARENTS?

We were talking about hairy faces at dinner and mum was saying how hairy faces were completely normal for young girls (?????) and it wasn't until when you were married that you could thread off all your facial hair (?!?!?) because apparently my mum is still living in 1850 Imperial China. 

Poor Amy has to deal with dinners where everyone else will suddenly change the language into shanghainese (she's white) and someone will be saying some joke and she'll start laughing along with us because everyone else is laughing. Today my brother (in chinese) was talking about how I was seventeen and a "big girl" now, and my mum said "no, she's not a big girl until she's 18" and then my brother said "why 18?" and my mum said "because then she can go and get married" and then I, in english, said "SO I CAN GET TRADED IN FOR A GOAT?" and that last bit was the only thing Amy heard and she started hysterically laughing because she had no idea what was going on and wHY WAS I GETTING TRADED IN FOR A GOAT?!

Also, I keep getting mocked by my brother for my formal vocabulary. Omg I can't even control it anymore, I UNKNOWINGLY USE BIG WORDS IN NORMAL CONVERSATIONS JUST BECAUSE THEY CONVEY MY POINT MORE CLEARLY?!?!?!

3. Opening ASOIAF box set

My brother wanted to start reading Game of Thrones so he forced me to open my box set. He did this by continuously throwing the VERY HEAVY box set of books at me and making me catch it - which I wasn't able to do due to my lack of coordination, and it just constantly bounced off me and onto the bed, restarting the process of him throwing at me once again.

I opened the books and tHEY SMELT SO GOOD AND THEY'RE SO PRETTY AND NEW AND  I KIND OF JUST CONVULSED AROUND ON MY BED FOR A WHILE SMELLING THEM AND STROKING THEM gosh what the shit is wrong with me

Seriously though they're so smooth and shiny and the covers are so pretty and I have to gather ALL MY STRENGTH AND DISCIPLINE NOT TO READ THE BOOK SYNOPSIS'S ON THE BACKS OF THE LAST 3 BOOKS UGHHHHHHHH POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Hi it's late and I'm tired. I've noticed I haven't really been following the "3 things" objective properly. Instead of writing about 3 random positive things, I've just been writing the 3 main things that have happened to me that day? Hmm.

1. Shopping

Went to dressmart and returned the bra I got ages ago that was the wrong size. Spent like, two hours in Bendon for something to trade it with and wasn't satisfied with anything so my mum just got my brother some  boxers lol. Ended up shopping around the mall and went into Forever New where I got a new pair of shoes! They're brownish army green (ugh that description sounds gross) ankle boots with a gold zipper and a shiny gold heel. I found them ages ago online (they're not on the website anymore though) and wanted to buy them but they were out of my size. So when I saw them today I was like :O

They were originally $120 and then on the sticker it said it was $59 so we were like sweeeet and then at the checkout we found out it was only $42!!!! SCORE!!!!!

I also tried on a dress that was, I assume, a similar shade to my ordered ball dress (WHICH IS STILL IN FUCKING PROCESSING) and the lilac looked pretty okay on me so here's hoping the same happens with my proper ball dress! WHY IS IT STILL IN PROCESSING?!

2. I got to drive everywhere today! Mum and I both had to go to the bank, then to her school to return her books, then to dressmart, then to the library so I could pick up The Great Gatsby (yAY). She made me do an insanely dangerous U-turn on Great South Road which is busy as fuck!!! Also, passing cyclists who are in your lane is TERRIFYING!! I have a bad habit of doing a continuous (but not high pitched) "AHHHHHHHHHHHH" scream whenever I'm doing something scary whilst driving, and though it's my coping mechanism, it freaks my mum out hahahahah


3. I used the Trilogy skincare products that Sophie got me for my birthday. One's a "purifying masque" and the other is a "vital moisturising cream". You know it's good shit when they spell it "masque" instead of "mask". "Mask" is just so bourgeois, don't you think?

MY SKIN IS SO SOFT NOW!!! IT FEELS LIKE I'M TOUCHING A BABY BUTT!!!!

1. Cooking Classes

Went over to Billies for her first cooking lesson (for CAS lol). Faizah was already there when I arrived, and Raaya had decided to walk all the way from Remuera to Blockhouse Bay, which was more than a 10km distance, so ofc she was late. Lol she had taken 2 hours to walk from Remuera to Mt Roskill, so it would've been another 45 minutes before she got to Billie's, so Billie and her dad had to go drive and pick her and her friend Holly up.

We made a bacon and egg pie that Billie winged, and some chocolate chip chewy cookies!

I made a giraffe out of pastry that was pretty neat if I do say so myself. Raaya made a tree (not as cool as my giraffe)

2. Winter Clean

Cleaned out my room because I've been having a bit of an ant problem on my desk and it's been pissing me off. I hoped to find where the ants were coming from but to no avail :( At least my desk area is a lot cleaner than before. In the process I came across my old journals and oh my god I was such an entertaining 9-13 year old!!! Just look at this passage:

"I'm sick of being sick! That might be why I'm sick! I just have to stop being sick of being sick and then I won't be sick so my sickness of sickness wil be gone and ...oh! Forget it! Just better get better... better... better? Yeah! I... get... BETTER! Ps The Simpson movie RULES!"

It's shocking how much I used the word "pooey" to describe something. Also, my reaction to puberty talks is the funniest shit ever. And I said "ohmicrod" and "yippee doo" and "yahoo" a lot...????


3. I just talked to the prev. mentioned guy (last blog post) for 3 hours...? And it's 3am now??? It's weird though because nowadays I can't even tell if I'm into someone or if I just want to be their friend.
