I want some mickey/minnie ears.

Day 14 - something you wish didn't exist

Poverty. Discrimination? Wars.

Day 13 - Something you wish you could've done differently

This holidays. I wish I did something more productive with my time. I was actually gonna study and shit, and got all my books out but they've just been collecting dust on my desk. I also wish I exercised. And didn't eat as much. And went out with friends more often. And didn't sleep my holidays away.

I'm tired.

Schools starting on Wednesday. I'm really not looking forward to it since prelims are gonna be on. I CANT SWIM.

I finally got all my songs in itunes. Thank you cathee for telling me about home sharing. god it was so much easier.

Day 12 - Something that's important to you

Friendship was the first thing that popped into my mind. So was family. Basically, companionship is pretty important to me since I don't like being lonely. There has been a couple periods of my life where I didn't have any friends, and those times suuucckked. Education  is pretty important to me, which is why I try to get good grades in school. I don't know if I have many objects that are super important to me. They all could be replaced with money, if I had an endless supply of it. So, I guess money is important to me? I don't really know about that since I seem to use a lot of it, but I've been trying to keep my money-spending to a minimum these couple of weeks.

Day 10 & Day 11

Day 10 - One day you wish you could take back.

Gosh, I don't know. I don't think I've really had that many life-changing regrets. Like, sure there have been little things. Fights with friends, failing tests/exams, but so far, everything that's happened to me has happened for a reason, and even though I'm not that religious, there's that saying "When God closes a door, somewhere he opens a window.". Most things that I wish I could have done differently, like, for example, my first attempt at Grade 8 piano exam, weren't really contained to one specific day, but more like, a longer time period, where if I worked harder, I would've got better results. But even saying that, I really disliked piano then, but after I failed, I switched piano teachers, and my new piano teacher got me to start enjoying playing piano, so that had a 'window' [so to speak] as well.  I guess I could always take back the day of either grandpa dying, but it would still happen, because it was their time to go, and plus, I wouldn't be able to choose between the two. I guess I'll have to earn more life experience before I could properly regret something. I'm soo not looking forward to it.

Day 11 - A confession.

.... I can't think of any confessions. And I don't exactly want to confess something really private on an online blog, soo....

I don't really like the harry potter books. THERE. I SAID IT. couldn't even get through the 5th one and currently on the 6th one, and have been for the last 3 (or so) months. GOD THEY'RE BORING. sorry. my opinion. I like the movies, the plot, the characters and everything, it's just, they're so long, and nothing happens till the end! It might be cuz I read them on the computer, so the experience is different, but yeah.

Sorry guys.

I hate rain.

I shot for the sky
I'm stuck on the ground
So why do I try?
I know I'm gonna go down
I thought I could fly
So why did I drown?
Never know why
It's coming down, down, down.

I'm just. UGH atm. I'm blaming the rain. IDK why some people like rain. I mean, it's cold, and when it's not cold, it's humid and sticky. It makes you all wet (not in the good way LOL. sorry, sick mind from fanfic) and it makes the sky all grey and dark and sad. I quite like the sound of rain though.

Went to newmarket today with reb, meilin and rach and watched the Green Hornet. I thought most of the film was pretty awesome, but there were some really stupid and unbelievable bits. Jay Chou is in it. Teehee. I don't know if any non-asian people will be able to understand his accent. He said 'pussy' and it was liek 'boo-ssy'.

Whiny bitch.

This post is basically me being a little bitch and complaining about shit that I should be grateful for. Don't read if it will irritate you and make you want to comment "stop moaning blahblahblah". Please don't. Seriously, I'm kinda pissed atm. You will not help.

So. I am currently using my new laptop. It's the Toshiba M750 and its screen can swivel and become a tablet. My dad just randomly bought it and came home with it yesterday. I think, tbh, I was kinda disappointed, cuz I just wanted the one that the school told us to get, cuz obviously, they told us to get that one for a reason. I mean, I don't want to sound ungrateful, but, yeah. Plus, we'll have to pay an extra $600 for school installation, but my dad insists that because it's a Toshiba Portege, we won't have to. And he's like "If we do have to pay for installation for this computer, I'll just buy you the recommended laptop" as if we're made of money or something, which I know for a fact we definitely aren't.

Sigh, I guess at first I really liked this computer, but now that I've used it for a while, I'm really starting to hate it. First of all, the screen quality is really unclear and all the colours dont come up very well. My brother says this is because the screen is a touch screen, but seriously, it's a lot harder to read text on this computer cuz everythings blurry. The computer is also really thick, and this will be incredibly inconvenient for me cuz I need to put the laptop in my bag, along with all my books, and then there wont really be much space left. The actual screen is also half a cm less (on each side) than my macbook. It might not sound like much, but it really makes a difference, there's just a thick-ass border around the screen. The camera can't detect ANYTHING in the dark. I mean, like, with a lamp or something on. It just takes photos of BLACK. It's pretty crap in daylight too. The mouse pad is really close to the keyboard, so when I'm typing, my hand will brush up against the touchpad and the mouse will jump to some random other place. One thing that also really bothers me is that it doesn't have the play/pause/skip/fastforward/etc buttons like on the mac, so whenever i want to pause a song or whatever, i have to go into itunes. The volume key, disc, whatever swivelly thing it is, is at the front edge of the laptop, meaning that if i lean too close to the laptop, i'll brush against it, and the volume will go up/down.

And the biggest thing of all. IT'S NOT A MAC. I didn't realise how much i preferred macs before I had to deal with this windows shit. I'm really unfamiliar with windows. So, on a mac, if you want to transfer songs from, lets say, a usb stick, you just drag the songs from the usb stick into itunes, and it automatically saves it into itunes. THIS SHIT DOESNT HAPPEN IN WINDOWS. Basically, I discovered after around an hour of trial and error, for me to put songs into my itunes (i downloaded it), I have to drag the songs into the itunes folder in windows explorer, then, from that folder, highlight the songs (only 15 at a time), right click, 'play', and wait for them to copy. then repeat. WHHHHYYYY. To make matters worse, I lost my 32 gig usb in china, so now i have to use an 4 gig one that only has 600 and something mgs left in it and keep going back and forth between computers.

Does anyone know how to minimize windows? It was command-M on macs and I tried ctrl/fn/window/alt M but they all dont work :(

I guess, the good thing about this computer would be the touch screen/tablet. Thing is, I probably won't even use it that much. I'm not an artist or anything, and the writing feature is really inconvenient (although, cool). I guess it'd be useful for reading fanfic, but I can't think of anything else. I also like how all the applications open so quickly, unlike on mac, where I have to wait an eternity for microsoft word to load. Im still not used to exiting the windows and not being in that application anymore, because on mac you have to actually quit out of the application for it to close. This laptop is also REALLY quiet and doesnt heat up at all cuz according to my brother it doesn't have a fan like other computers but has some kinda chip? IDK, i wasn't really paying attention but that's why this computer is really expensive.

I wasn't actually THAT down on my laptop until I hung out with reb, meilin and rach today and I told them about me getting the computer and they started saying shit about my laptop, even though the stuff they were saying were untrue (they said my kinda laptops get really hot and the fans are loud as. plus, when I said that it didn't, they were like, "use it for a while and you'll see". FFS, DO I OWN THE LAPTOP OR DO YOU? plus, just cuz your dad owns a laptop that can turn into a tablet too, doesn't mean its the same laptop.) I mean, it wasn't even that big a deal but I already wasn't liking my laptop that much, and now its just worse.

THIS COMPUTER DOESN'T EVEN HAVE DICTIONARY. OMG. JUST. OMG. GOD.
It has paint though. I like paint. BUT THAT STILL DOESNT MAKE UP FOR NOT HAVING DICTIONARY.
