today is the day that all people in the culinary world will celebrate.
today, it the birth of the mcawesome.

what is the mcawesome, you may ask?

it's a piece of raison toast- untoasted, with a handful of grated cheese on top, melted in the oven. then a layer of shaved ham, and on top of all that, an egg.

and of course, invented by yours truly.

it sounds simple, yes, and the pairing of the sweetness from the raison bread with the other savoury items may seem odd at first, but trust me, it's frickin good.




also, i'm so screwed tonight. gotta write personal reading response (they always take me ages) thats due tmrw, write my french speech that should be done by tmrw, finish my art wood cut that should be done today and try to cram in some studying.

Today in the car with my mum, 'baby' by justin bieber came on the radio and i started laughing and asked my mum:

"Do you think this is a boy or a girl singing?"

and she's like:

"... girl."

and I'm like LOL and then she looks at me and she's like:

"Oh, is this the boy that all the girls scream over?"

and I nod and she kinda just looks at the radio and is like:

"he's not even a good singer."

Food, oh yes.

I made chocolate chip cookies on monday 

They were goooood. Accidentily put in double the sugar and had to scoop some out, but didn't get all of it, so they're a little too sweet.

got up today (tuesday, even though it's technically wednesday atm, but i havent slept yet), tried to make an omelette. it broke, so i made it into fried rice instead lololol. i'm usually very good at making omelettes :|


I made some jelly-in-oranges things today. Basically, you cut just the top bit of an orange off, scoop out all the inside and eat it. then you prepare jelly with jelly crystals, pour it into the hollowed out oranges, and put it in the fridge to set. When they're set, cut it like you would cut orange slices and eat :) they're real cool.


my internet is so slow atm. there's a new gossip girl episode out and i'm desperate to see it, but it stuffs up everytime i try to stream it! gah.


I feel like I should go for a run or something in preparation for athletics prelims. I'm so fat atm. Fatty fat fat fat. Nothing to do at home except cook, eat, watch tv, sleep, and go on the computer. I am seriously so screwed for prelims. I can't swim 10m's, let alone 50. I can barely do freestyle, let alone any other swim strokes. My sprints will be fucking embarrassing.

A weekend

Sooo, on Saturday it was Mei's 14th Birthday Party!! I got her a Remington hair straightener and a card, in which i made a collage of famous guys she found hot. JS, I'm so fucking proud of that collage. I raped all my GF magazines finding pictures at like, 2am in the morning. Fuck, i shudve taken a photo :/

Anyway, so I got up, wrote in her card, wrapped her present, packed my shit up and went to her house at 1:30. Got there, and they were playing monopoly. Patted her dog, Oscar and he tried to bite me. GG. Cherry didn't want to play anymore and she game all her money and properties to me, so everyone was pissed at me, which made me not want to play anymore so Meilin took over my place. It kinda sucked cuz it was raining and overcast this weekend, so it was pretty cold. We went swimming anyway in Mei's pool.

Ummmmm, basically, we watched tv and movies - bummed around. Had KFC for dinner and I ate the most and felt really bad. BUT FUCK, I LOVE KFC, OKAY?! After I totally stuffed myself with KFC, mei's parents came back with 4 pizza's. omg. I ate a slice cuz someone shoved it in my mouth.

We watched Black Swan. Everytime there was a .... mature... scene, i'd get all nervous and kept looking at the door, scared that mei's parents might come in. I swear, my mum times her entrances when i'm watching movies. She ALWAYS comes in during lovescenes, even if theres only ONE in the whole movie, she'll come in during that one. IT'S SO AWKWARD.

Anyway, so, after that, we decided to put make up on each other and make everyone look like drag queens. Started off with me and joanna having a competition on who could makeover someone better. But, fuck, i don't want to talk about it. it pissed me off. never doing 'competitions' ever again. Anyway.

We moved to the pool house to go to sleep, but ended up just talking a shitload. I don't even remember what we talked about. Woke up at like, 8 cuz Meilin had to get picked up early, but apparently her thing was cancelled, so she just went to watch tv while the rest of us slept.

Had brekkie, went home, blah blah. I forgot to eat cake :(



My brother's friend brought his new puppy over today. Her name is Bella and she's a huskie. She is sooo gorgeous. But I'm used to the small, white, fluffy dogs that joanna and mei have, so Bella was pretty WOAH to me. My parents are both scared of dogs, so their reactions were hilaariiouss. Bella bites a lot -- well, actually she doesnt bite, she just gnaws her teeth against your skin, so it doesnt hurt, but i was really stupid and ripped my hand away when she did it, so she clamped down and bit me.

NASIDFJOSKDFKSDLF SHUT UP, I'M NOT USED TO DOGS. I probably sound really wussy to dog-owners or whatever.

I want a dog. Too bad I'm allergic or something. Not like, hardcore allergic, but when I stay over at friends houses who have dogs, my throat gets really dry and my nose and eyes are really itchy and that stuff.

OH BTW, this is the approx recipe for that sandwich i made ages ago.
[Makes two open sandwiches]

• 2 pieces of bread, lightly toasted
• Mayonnaise
• One capsicum, sliced.
• A largish can of chunky tuna in oil/saltwater - drained. (sorry idk the actual amount)
• Grated cheese
• Chopped nuts. (i used pistachios and walnuts)

1. Spread mayonnaise on bread. Place half of the capsicum slices evenly spaced on the bread.
2. Spoon/Fork/whatthefuckeveritdoesntmatter the tuna evenly on the bread. It should make a little hill about 3cms tall.
3. Sprinkle grated cheese on that. I used tons. 
4. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
5. Repeat on other piece of bread.
6. Put in mini-oven (err idk if u have one, but that's what i used) on 'grill' at 200˚C until cheese is melted.
7. Take out and squirt ranch sauce in a zigzaggy pattern to make it look pretty :)

See? Simple! But tastes fucking awesome.
