let's pretend that your friend has been diagnosed with depression. people always say 'don't treat them any differently" just cuz they've got an 'illness', but then what if you do this, but you just seem uncompassionate?
another thing: life is about opportunities. i think i got that from looking for alaska, but i may be wrong. but yeah. life is about opportunities, not just the ones you take, but also the ones you miss. because every opportunity you miss might be one you regret and another one you learn from. if your friend asks your crush out before you, you learn a lesson of putting yourself out there so that it's not too late. this way, when it comes to the time where it counts, you don't do the same mistake twice.
