After Midnight: currently watching the parent trap on youtube

got 8 minutes in and couldn't deal with my internal ramblings anymore so decided to watch it while liveblogging. before i do that however, you should know that the parent trap was my favourite movie as a kid and i saw it at least 20 times. It's been about, at least 5 years since I've watched it. This is bizarre.

The song at the beginning of the movie brings back so many memories!! i used to sing this around the house all the time
oh god the old lady speaking into loudspeaker! I never understood what she was saying but now I do. I recognize everyone's tone of voice more than the actual things they're saying in this movie!!

the infamous annie-steps-out-of-the-car scene. omg everytime someone holds the door open and i step out of the car graciously i think of this scene

THE HANDSHAKE OMGGGGGGGGGGG I DIDNT REALISE HOW EMBARRASSING THIS HANDSHAKE WAS UNTIL NOW. martin the butler have you no dignity?

the gasp of shock as they realise they look alike!.... and they still shake hands despite the fact they're identical? i'd be freaking out. and the gasp at the electricity when they shake hands omg
holy shit i used to love this bit! "well, your eyes are much closer together than mine... your ears, well, dont worry you'll grow into them. your teeth are a LITTLE bit crooked. UGH AND THAT NOSE. dont worry dear those things can be fixed!"
the acting is so atrocious this is brilliant
the poker scene guys omg its intense hallie just took off her sunglasses LET'S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS
you guys dont understand the types of nostalgia i'm feeling right now. when i was little, when our family played poker, i used to do all the tapping-face-while-reading-cards and fanning-cards-out-by-flipping-them things cuz of this movie.
i bet this post is so boring and no ones gonna read it but its for my amusement haha
and then she had to jump into the pool 'butt-naked' and they stole her clothes AND THEN ANNIE RETALIATES BY MOVING THEIR BEDS ONTO THE ROOF omg disney i love you
